This rooftop garden landscape design NYC is located in Manhattan's West Village and features metal planter boxes filled with a lush assortment of plantings that enhance, rather than obscure, the skyline views. We created a true four season garden in this space, in the sense that there are things that look good in every season, including evergreens in winter, and plants that flower in spring, summer, and fall. The plantings include hollies, boxwoods, maiden grass, sweetflag, hydrangeas, sedum, arborvitaes, and a pink cherry tree. See more of our projects at www.amberfreda.com.

This outdoor space provides all the comforts of home. A floating cantilevered fire table 46" Sunbrite outdoor TV on custom swivel mount, bags and a putting course with a major elevation change, a pet turf for the pups and a garden Adam and Eve would be envious of. Photos by Donald Maldonado

This custom planting design incorporated seasonal annuals into a succession of perennial plants, shrubs, and flowering plants to create multiple seasons of delight! Building upon the amazing work by Chicago Roof Deck + Garden, our team designed and installed a custom planting design for our client. Design intent incorporated seasonality to the progression from Spring, Summer, Fall, and into Winter, into an incredibly compact area.

Even a small space can become an inviting oasis with just the right planning and finishing touches. Our redesign of this rooftop terrace on Manhattan’s Upper East Side included brown bamboo roll fencing to cover an existing bland looking frosted glass divider (check out the before photo on our blog). We love the Huron Lounge chairs our client chose from West Elm. Other design elements include black fiberglass planters and black metal low-voltage LED up-lights in all the planters. The plantings include red weeping maples, junipers, Tardiva hydrangeas, boxwoods, yellow knockout roses, and wine colored coleus. See more of our projects at www.amberfreda.com.
