Pool Refurbishment - Case Study 5 - BEFORE

The clients had considered getting rid of the pool as it was too time consuming keeping it clean, but after meeting with TANBY they changed their minds and decided they would like an automatic safety cover on their pool, with the cover housed in a below ground pit. They wanted the old crazy paving removed and changed for a more modern terrace. The client wanted the filtration pump at pool level and the rest of the plant in an existing higher plant room. We built a separate small plant room to house the manifold and pump.We removed the old fibreglass Roman End and created a rectangular pool to allow for the inwall tracks for the safety cover. The existing pool was a bag liner pool with a fibre glass roman end and after discussions with and suggestions to the client they we delighted with the prospect of creating a rectangular pool incorporating the roman end shape but giving shallow cheeks either side.
