This dark, cavernous space is an introverted yet glamorous space both to impress guests and to find a moment to retreat.
Plain & Posh
This beautiful transitional powder room with wainscot paneling and wallpaper was transformed from a 1990's raspberry pink and ornate room. The space now breathes and feels so much larger. The vanity was a custom piece using an old chest of drawers. We removed the feet and added the custom metal base. The original hardware was then painted to match the base.

Floor to ceiling black and white cement tiles provide an element of spunk to this powder bath! Exposed black plumbing fixtures and the wood counter top warm up the space!

Clients wanted to keep a powder room on the first floor and desired to relocate it away from kitchen and update the look. We needed to minimize the powder room footprint and tuck it into a service area instead of an open public area.
We minimize the footprint and tucked the PR across from the basement stair which created a small ancillary room and buffer between the adjacent rooms. We used a small wall hung basin to make the small room feel larger by exposing more of the floor footprint. Wainscot paneling was installed to create balance, scale and contrasting finishes.
The new powder room exudes simple elegance from the polished nickel hardware, rich contrast and delicate accent lighting. The space is comfortable in scale and leaves you with a sense of eloquence.

We have an obsession with this wall covering and were so happy to use it in here. The colors fit so well, we could have used it almost anywhere in the house!
