An Italian limestone tile, called “Raw”, with an interesting rugged hewn face provides the backdrop for a room where simplicity reigns. The pure geometries expressed in the perforated doors, the mirror, and the vanity play against the baroque plan of the room, the hanging organic sculptures and the bent wood planters.

This contemporary powder room design in Yardley, PA is proof that the smallest room in the house can be the most stylish. The combination of colors and textures creates a stunning design that will make it a conversation piece for visitors to the home. The Jay Rambo floating vanity cabinet has a natural finish on Sapele with a Salerno door style. This is accented by a Caesarstone White Attica countertop, Top Knobs satin brass hardware, and a Sigma Stixx 8" lever faucet. A decorative gold framed mirror sits against the backdrop of bold, black and white patterned wallpaper. Warm wood floors create a cozy atmosphere, and a Toto toilet completes this powder room.

Custom wood bathroom Cathedral ceilings and seamless cabinetry complement this kitchen’s river view The low ceilings in this ’70s contemporary were a nagging issue for the 6-foot-8 homeowner. Plus, drab interiors failed to do justice to the home’s Connecticut River view. By raising ceilings and removing non-load-bearing partitions, architect Christopher Arelt was able to create a cathedral-within-a-cathedral structure in the kitchen, dining and living area. Decorative mahogany rafters open the space’s height, introduce a warmer palette and create a welcoming framework for light. The homeowner, a Frank Lloyd Wright fan, wanted to emulate the famed architect’s use of reddish-brown concrete floors, and the result further warmed the interior. “Concrete has a connotation of cold and industrial but can be just the opposite,” explains Arelt. Clunky European hardware was replaced by hidden pivot hinges, and outside cabinet corners were mitered so there is no evidence of a drawer or door from any angle.

Everything HomeEverything Home
The new construction luxury home was designed by our Carmel design-build studio with the concept of 'hygge' in mind – crafting a soothing environment that exudes warmth, contentment, and coziness without being overly ornate or cluttered. Inspired by Scandinavian style, the design incorporates clean lines and minimal decoration, set against soaring ceilings and walls of windows. These features are all enhanced by warm finishes, tactile textures, statement light fixtures, and carefully selected art pieces. In the living room, a bold statement wall was incorporated, making use of the 4-sided, 2-story fireplace chase, which was enveloped in large format marble tile. Each bedroom was crafted to reflect a unique character, featuring elegant wallpapers, decor, and luxurious furnishings. The primary bathroom was characterized by dark enveloping walls and floors, accentuated by teak, and included a walk-through dual shower, overhead rain showers, and a natural stone soaking tub. An open-concept kitchen was fitted, boasting state-of-the-art features and statement-making lighting. Adding an extra touch of sophistication, a beautiful basement space was conceived, housing an exquisite home bar and a comfortable lounge area. ---Project completed by Wendy Langston's Everything Home interior design firm, which serves Carmel, Zionsville, Fishers, Westfield, Noblesville, and Indianapolis. We wanted to create a unique powder room for this modern farmhouse. We designed a wood vanity with a furnishing look, added brick flooring and a herringbone wallpaper and finished with a paned iron mirror and modern pendant lighting.
