Powder room off Kitchen with tiled floor and recycled glass backsplash - Our clients wanted to remodel their kitchen so that the prep, cooking, clean up and dining areas would blend well and not have too much of a kitchen feel. They wanted a sophisticated look with some classic details and a few contemporary flairs. The result was a reorganized layout (and remodel of the adjacent powder room) that maintained all the beautiful sunlight from their deck windows, but create two separate but complimentary areas for cooking and dining. The refrigerator and pantry are housed in a furniture-like unit creating a hutch-like cabinet that belies its interior with classic styling. Two sinks allow both cooks in the family to work simultaneously. Some glass-fronted cabinets keep the sink wall light and attractive. The recycled glass-tiled detail on the ceramic backsplash brings a hint of color and a reference to the nearby waters. Dan Cutrona Photography

Classic powder room with gray shaker cabinets and a white counter and backsplash. Metal and acrylic door handles and glass sconces give this a vintage feel in a transitional beach home.

We had renovated others areas of this home and enjoyed designing and renovating this fun black and white "kids" bath. With a whimsical aesthetic we wanted to do something fun and creative with black and white tile and laid out this zig zag pattern that our tile setters followed well. We used black tile to finish the look for base around the room and a black pencil mold to finish the top. By determining the height of the vanity and the size of the mirror, we were able to determine the best height to lay the tile up the walls. A black toilet anchors the toilet niche and the floating black vanity is gorgeous with the pop of white quartz top and sink and a black faucet make for a gorgeous aesthetic. Black and Gold sconces mounted on the side walls finish this fun room for the "kid" in all of us.

The powder room retains the charm of the home which was originally built in the 1940's. The stained glass window was replicated with colors that complimented the updated look. The handmade green zelige tile, custom vanity, quartz countertop and custom mirror create a cozy space.

This vanity has an extra bit of custom detailing with the dark wood "bow tie" inserts. Our in-house cabinet line, Vern & Burl, loves to incorporate unique inserts.

We wanted a soft look in this powder room. The creamy colored waved wall of tile gave it some design Impact but still kept the space warm and inviting.
