Purchased an 1880s Farm House in the country 1.5 hours from Portland, OR. In 2 years, I demo and hired contractors to update plumbing, electrical to code. I renovated 2 bathrooms (heated floor, jacuzzi; stacked efficiency laundry room) and pulled paneling to reveal shiplap. Cleaned and cleaned more. Lots of demo and hauling. Endless mowing, weed and blackberry thicket removal weekly on 1 acre property. Three barns/sheds. PAID OFF!!! Now worth $240K. Bought it for $125. Renovate key rooms high-end and let the buyers finish the bedrooms, halls etc. I bought high-end light fixtures and appliances at every January, close-out off-season sale.

Pink can really pack a punch and isn’t for everyone, but this bright color , Cyclamen, by Sherwin Williams was the perfect compliment for the owners eclectic, art collection. The space was previously a full bath, but was minimized in order to volunteer space for the primary bath -(see Elegant Bathroom Makeover). A freestanding sink vanity was used to provide more visual space. Gold fixtures add to the bling that the owner was looking for.

For the master bath using the same reclaimed pine that we installed on the flooring throughout we made a custom vanity. A white quartz countertop finished it off nicely.

French-styled powder room with distressed Alderwood vanity. New chest of drawers distressed to look antique with antiqued pewter drawer pulls in the French style. Black granite top milled with double ogee edge and single ogee edge on the curved backsplash. The detailed opening for the sink also has a single ogee edge. Not shown is a black toilet with a stained mahogany top. The steel sconces were made by a blacksmith and then distressed and finished to appear to be pewter. Walls are a waxed faux finish in a Venetian plaster style.
