Vibrant red grasscloth sets the tone in this traditional dining room. A seagrass rug tones down the formality. Asian art makes a big statement and is a favorite of the clients. We upholstered the chairs in a lattice print that also nods to the asian theme.

Bayberry Cottage
Our clients' worldly lifestyle inspired this interior design of ours. As people who traveled the world constantly, especially through Europe, Asia, and South America, it was a fun challenge creating this globally-infused home for them! The focal point of this great room was the Brazilian paintings of children, we then completed the space with a warm color palette, interesting patterns, and used their other traveling gems as decor. The result is a sophisticated yet welcoming, cultured yet playful home.
Home located in Holland, Michigan. Designed by Bayberry Cottage who also serves South Haven, Kalamazoo, Saugatuck, St Joseph, & Douglas, MI.

After: For this formal dining room we wanted to keep the formal feeling but also make it warm and inviting. So we added a better sized rug, beaded table runner, red placemats, table centerpiece, sheers for the window, corner vase with greenery and artwork for the walls

A dining area fit for a King and Queen. In the past, royals were known for dressing their homes in dramatic coloring, red being a popular choice. We had a lot of fun creating this style, as we used fiery crimsons, refined patterns, and bold accents of gold and crystal, which was perfect for this large dining room that sits ten!
Project designed by Michelle Yorke Interior Design Firm in Bellevue. Serving Redmond, Sammamish, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Kirkland, Medina, Clyde Hill, and Seattle.
