The small family room in the open kitchen makes for a cozy hang-out spot.
CM Natural Designs
This space was designed for a fun and lively family of four. The furniture and fireplace were custom designed to hold up to the wear and tear of young kids while still being hip and modern for the parents who regularly host their friends and family. It is light, airy and timeless. Most items were selected from local, privately owned businesses and the mantel from an old reclaimed barn beam.

Brick Transformers
Brick Transformers took this dark brick fireplace in Barrington, IL and transformed it using shades of eight unique colors to achieve this beautiful updated makeover.
McMahon Design Group
A room which the couple weren’t sure how it should be used. We suggested a baby grand piano for two reasons, i.e the piano speaks to elegance and it offered an opportunity for the children to take lessons (which they have done). The soft shades of gold are seen in the faux painted horizontal stripes on the walls. The silk fabrics used in the window treatments and seating add to the soft warmth and everything is grounded by the Saxony wool and silk red and gold area carpet. The black cube styled tables were custom made and finished in high gloss to coordinate with the piano. Accessories and art were selected to color coordinate.

Farrow & Ball
While lively Rangwali looks beautiful in all lights, it really comes into its own in the evening, making it a wonderfully unexpected choice for a living room that you can’t wait to curl up in at the end of the day. Keeping the rest of the room simple and uncluttered, as in this Farrow & Ball scheme, lets that statement wall colour really shine.
Sweetpea & Willow
A beautiful black and ruby interior featuring furniture and accessories by Eichholtz. Touches of gold further enhance the decadent feel of this living room. Clever use of lighting means that the room feels warm and snug, even when the gorgeous fireplace isn't in use.
