Ever the retro powder room station, Sundance is art deco fused with a festival vibe. Super retro and fun, it’s still a simplistic work of art in terms of outline and finishes. Even with color rush in retro red, its outline is definitively sleek, chic and sophisticated. Doubling as an office vanity, Sundance is a popular choice for bold, yet practical, storage and display solutions with a futuristic concept.
LiLu Interiors
Chris and Marna believe in Ohana Mau Loa which means “family forever.” As return clients, they knew LiLu could help them build a vacation home in Hawaii that would provide a desirable and comfortable gathering place for four adult children and their spouses and 11 grandchildren. A central common space at the heart of the home with separate living quarters surrounding it helps to accommodate everyone with both shared and personal living spaces. Each has its own personality that showcases playful references to Big Island life. And yet the overall design concept weaves together a love of world travel with traditional tastes. Built with mahogany wood that is a staple of island construction, treasured heirlooms and other personal keepsakes are the perfect complement to make this dream home feel welcoming and familiar. Fabrics, finishes and furnishings were selected with the sea in mind and to accommodate wet swim suits, bare feet, and sandy shoes.

This was a custom bathroom remodeling project where we refaced the existing cabinets with a Walzcraft raised center panel doors in Alder wood with a cinnamon stain. We also added a custom stacked-on floorless cabinet to the middle vanity. The vanities were then topped with, Santa Cecilia granite with porcelain bowls.
Griggs Custom Homes, Inc.
Incorporated cold rolled steel baseboards and forged iron window sills and aprons in lower levels of this Lakefront. Custom built furniture pieces were built onsite using live-edge walnut slabs included an office desk, several entertainment hutches and benches. We built custom faux windows with LED light strips onsite to give appearance of natural light. Corinthian Granite and cast Limestone were used around the fireplaces. Steel wrapped mirrors with hammered clavos accentuate the chiseled edge granite in the featured half bath. European light fixtures and custom furnishings are throughout the home giving a refreshing modern twist to traditional mountain style.
We incorporated a great mixture of steel, stone and hardwoods to assemble a balanced theme in this timber frame home since there are beams and posts exposed on all four levels. All door and window openings have precision drywall returns and thus no casing needed, using only forged steel or walnut for the window aprons and baseboards. We primarily used walnut throughout for window/door jambs, baseboards on upper levels, doors and furniture made onsite. This home has no shortage of ambiance while boasting a total of five fireplaces, one being on the outdoor quartzite living area finished with a custom forge iron railing.

This distinctive Bathroom was completed with gorgeous red glass tile and custom Hansgrohe shower heads that you turn on with a button. The red color was inspired by our clients being native country of Liverpool and a big fan of the Liverpool football team. The bathroom sure brings one alive in the morning.

The master bath is wrapped in frosted glass, allowing for the transmission of daylight from the bedroom windows without a loss of privacy. Faucets extend from the mirror into huge porcelain bowls supported on a heavy sheet of glass and stainless steel legs. At the far end one steps down into a greenstone shower. Here as elsewhere in the apartment a teak shelf over the inner wall provides light where it is needed.
MainStreet Design Build
By taking some square footage out of an adjacent closet, we were able to re-design the layout of this master bathroom. By adding features like a custom Plato Woodwork cabinet, a decorative subway tile wainscot and a claw foot tub, we were able to keep in the style of this 1920's Royal Oak home.
