This flooring has a wear layer of genuine European Oak in a natural feature grade which means the boards contains knots, which will add a feeling of character to your room. This flooring has been roasted to achieve a dark brown color - The roasting process has been done on the entire wear layer (it is not just a coating) which means if at some point in the future you choose to sand your floor back you will not lose the beautiful roasted effect.
