Chilton's Acadia Live Edge Collection is crafted in Maine from solid walnut, cherry or Spalted Maple. Each piece features clean minimalist lines with a contrasting unfinished edge from the bark line of the tree. This raw "live edge" ensures that each piece is both dynamic and unique. Inspired by George Nakashima, this bed marries a modern aesthetic with a reverence for the tree from which it was hewn. Also available as a stand-alone frame without headboard. Headboard height and shape vary from piece to piece based on the individual characteristics of the wood. This bed is a platform bed that only requires a mattress. A foundation is not necessary.

This one is near and dear to my heart. Not only is it in my own backyard, it is also the first remodel project I've gotten to do for myself! This space was previously a detached two car garage in our backyard. Seeing it transform from such a utilitarian, dingy garage to a bright and cheery little retreat was so much fun and so rewarding! This space was slated to be an AirBNB from the start and I knew I wanted to design it for the adventure seeker, the savvy traveler, and those who appreciate all the little design details . My goal was to make a warm and inviting space that our guests would look forward to coming back to after a full day of exploring the city or gorgeous mountains and trails that define the Pacific Northwest. I also wanted to make a few bold choices, like the hunter green kitchen cabinets or patterned tile, because while a lot of people might be too timid to make those choice for their own home, who doesn't love trying it on for a few days?At the end of the day I am so happy with how it all turned out! --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. La mezzanine est accessible grâce à une échelle en métal faite sur-mesure, escamotable, pour le jour et la nuit. Les rambardes sont faites dans le même matériau. La coin nuit est matérialisé par une autre couleur bleu plus foncée, et des étagères y sont installées pour gagner en rangement. Le salon fait face à une télévision murale. Le coin salle à manger est matérialisé au plafond par cette jolie suspension en papier origami. Many people can’t see beyond the current aesthetics when looking to buy a house, but this innovative couple recognized the good bones of their mid-century style home in Golden’s Applewood neighborhood and were determined to make the necessary updates to create the perfect space for their family. In order to turn this older residence into a modern home that would meet the family’s current lifestyle, we replaced all the original windows with new, wood-clad black windows. The design of window is a nod to the home’s mid-century roots with modern efficiency and a polished appearance. We also wanted the interior of the home to feel connected to the awe-inspiring outside, so we opened up the main living area with a vaulted ceiling. To add a contemporary but sleek look to the fireplace, we crafted the mantle out of cold rolled steel. The texture of the cold rolled steel conveys a natural aesthetic and pairs nicely with the walnut mantle we built to cap the steel, uniting the design in the kitchen and the built-in entryway. Everyone at Factor developed rich relationships with this beautiful family while collaborating through the design and build of their freshly renovated, contemporary home. We’re grateful to have the opportunity to work with such amazing people, creating inspired spaces that enhance the quality of their lives.
