This dining room is a great space for large gatherings. The soft colors make the room feel serene, but the pops of orange in the centerpiece and jewel colors in the artwork create some interest that tie things together. For this young couple, the lighting really needed to be unique and not seen in every new construction project. Cut velvet fabric on the back of dining chairs adds a cool texture and pattern to the space, while the leather seats make for maintenance friendly dining. The arched windows are framed by simple silk drapery panels to let in just enough light, and the custom light-colored rug creates a great anchor for the beautiful wood dining table. My team took a fresh approach to traditional style in this home. Inspired by fresh cut blossoms and a crisp palette, we transformed the space with airy elegance. Exquisite natural stones and antique silhouettes coupled with chalky white hues created an understated elegance as romantic as a love poem.

Custom locally built dining table designed by For a family wanting a dramatic entry and dining room, but with requirements that it be an indestructible venue for weekly brunches with guest lists including small children! Our first solution was to create a contrasting border integral to the hardwood floor, in lieu of an area rug. From there, we introduced furniture in resilient materials such as fiberglass chairs and a locally made custom table of Heather's design in reclaimed hardwood, steel and acrylic. Luxurious drapes, dramatic accessories and a chandelier with glimmer added the required panache. Interior design by Heather Garrett Interior Design. Entertaining is a large part of these client's life. Their existing dining room, while nice, couldn't host a large party. The original dining room was extended 16' to create a large entertaining space, complete with a built in bar area. Floor to ceiling windows and plenty of lighting throughout keeps the space nice and bright. The bar includes a custom stained wine rack, pull out trays for liquor, sink, wine fridge, and plenty of storage space for extras. The homeowner even built his own table on site to make sure it would fit the space as best as it could.

This classic dining room needed an update to match the fresh new paint color. A light round area rug, new upholstered dining chairs, and understated art work transforms this room without taking away its key elements.
