This contemporary kitchen was inspired by the owner wanting a crisp, clean euro-style line with no handles. The White Oak uppers and coffee nook area make for a warmer look than a simple all-white kitchen. Functional space, such as drawers under the sink, hidden garbage and the use of dish drawers were all important to the homeowner. She desired to have a "Hot" area with two ovens, a speed oven, and a traditional oven, with a large cooktop over the main oven. We built a slightly smaller island at a single height, rather than stacked as it was previously to give more walking around space. Finally, a pass through with a quartz top was made to give easy access to the dining area and adds space to the room. Treve Johnson Photography

Look at all the fun details in this kitchen: a full wall of whimsical glass mosaic tile, carmalized bamboo cabinetry, a cork-look floor tile, unique salvaged glass doors, the gently curved cabinet hardware and the lighting in the hood and bar sink. Each item was carefully selected to add flair and interest without distracting from the other elements around it.

The colors of the Best Tile Tozen Strontium glass tile (Natural Gray) backsplash, the Monte Bello granite countertop, and the Benjamin Moore Wythe walls provide a pleasing, soft contrast to the Maple Wood White Cabinets from Decora. Inside lighting in the glass panel cabinets illuminate a collection of dishes. The existing pine floors were refinished and stained to match the oak floors in the rest of the home. This couples small kitchen was in dire need of an update. The homeowner is an avid cook and cookbook collector so finding a special place for some of his most prized cookbooks was a must! we moved the doorway to accommodate a layout change and the kitchen is now not only more beautiful but much more functional.

Modern kitchen renovation for a home in Miami Beach. The existing kitchen was outdated, small, and had wasted space for the client. We redesigned the space and utilized the unused breakfast nook to create a larger kitchen. Two separate counter areas to create a Kosher Kitchen were added. The breakfast nook was reincorporated into the middle island to open the space up more. A new hallway access to the guest corridor provided more wall space for cabinetry and a more connected feel for the guest room to the rest of the house. (Rendering)
