This was my daughter's nursery at our home in Kelowna. We wanted the space to be super girly, yet approachable. We chose pink because it is a calming- something I wanted in a nursery. We combined it with the navy striped feature wall to add interest. The wall was done using painters tape, and lots of measuring.
We managed to stick to our limited budget by using vintage items such as the rocking chair and gold pillow. We spray painted an existing curtain rod gold to match the pillow and other accessories. The canvas art and fur throw was from Home Sense, and the wooden map was hand painted as a gift from a class mate. It is my absolute favourite thing in the room!
Staged to Sell or Dwell
Baby nursery (girl) -Client contacted Staged to Sell or Dwell to design a nursery for a baby girl. The classic girls room was designed to be able to effortlessly transition to a child's room without the need to entirely redesign the room.

AFTER COLLAGE: The pink shades are from Target; Canopy is from RH Teen; 2 Pinwheel pillows from Urban Outfitters; 8-cube and 3-tier bookshelves are from Walmart (or you can now go to Ikea for a larger cube option); DIY items which I made myself are the pegboards, OLIVIA banner, and display bookshelves under window made from vinyl gutters and end caps.

The "Mystical Fairy Play & Nursery" project are two rooms that coincide with another. The first room is a nursery that will eventually turn into a big girls room when these twins transition. The second room is their playroom which will eventually become the other bedroom for one of the girls. In the meantime, it is the place where their imagination can run wild and be inspired through representational art. This project was full of color, vibrancy, and creativity!

If you inherited a shabby furniture piece of furniture, and you would like nothing better but to trash it...don't!!! It would make a handsome and very 'IN' piece in a child's room. You can use it as a changing table or a nice focal point in the room. All you have to worry about is choosing the right paint.

Paintings of Life and Love
This baby room was a fresh shabby chic style. We took baby animals as the theme, and baby animal portraits were painted in a muted greyscale with some primary colour accents to make it playful.
