APARTMENT BERLIN VII Eine Berliner Altbauwohnung im vollkommen neuen Gewand: Bei diesen Räumen in Schöneberg zeichnete THE INNER HOUSE für eine komplette Sanierung verantwortlich. Dazu gehörte auch, den Grundriss zu ändern: Die Küche hat ihren Platz nun als Ort für Gemeinsamkeit im ehemaligen Berliner Zimmer. Dafür gibt es ein ruhiges Schlafzimmer in den hinteren Räumen. Das Gästezimmer verfügt jetzt zudem über ein eigenes Gästebad im britischen Stil. Bei der Sanierung achtete THE INNER HOUSE darauf, stilvolle und originale Details wie Doppelkastenfenster, Türen und Beschläge sowie das Parkett zu erhalten und aufzuarbeiten. Darüber hinaus bringt ein stimmiges Farbkonzept die bereits vorhandenen Vintagestücke nun angemessen zum Strahlen. This tiny bathroom got a facelift and more room by removing a closet on the other side of the wall. What used to be just a sink and toilet became a 3/4 bath with a full walk in shower!

The newly remodeled hall bath was made more spacious with the addition of a wall-hung toilet. The soffit at the tub was removed, making the space more open and bright. The bold black and white tile and fixtures paired with the green walls matched the homeowners' personality and style.

This bathroom was added to a much needed playroom addition. It needed to be very functional and a great place to rinse off, and clean up messy kids and messy dogs. The accent tile in the niche is a wonderful glass mosaic with just a little pop of color.

In a home with just about 1000 sf our design needed to thoughtful, unlike the recent contractor-grade flip it had recently undergone. For clients who love to cook and entertain we came up with several floor plans and this open layout worked best. We used every inch available to add storage, work surfaces, and even squeezed in a 3/4 bath! Colorful but still soothing, the greens in the kitchen and blues in the bathroom remind us of Big Sur, and the nod to mid-century perfectly suits the home and it's new owners.

The guest bath design was inspired by the fun geometric pattern of the custom window shade fabric. A mid century modern vanity and wall sconces further repeat the mid century design. Because space was limited, the designer incorporated a metal wall ladder to hold towels.
