When one thing leads to another...and another...and another...
This fun family of 5 humans and one pup enlisted us to do a simple living room/dining room upgrade. Those led to updating the kitchen with some simple upgrades. (Thanks to Superior Tile and Stone) And that led to a total primary suite gut and renovation (Thanks to Verity Kitchens and Baths). When we were done, they sold their now perfect home and upgraded to the Beach Modern one a few galleries back. They might win the award for best Before/After pics in both projects! We love working with them and are happy to call them our friends.

Cozy little book nook at the top of the stairs for the kids to read comics, books and dream the day away!

Inside, the building is zoned into living and sleeping wings. The living room, kitchen, and dining spaces comprise the main area with high wood ceilings. Strategic skylights bring in patterned natural light from above to balance the south and north light. The bedroom wing is situated to be separate from the main space, and has two bedrooms plus the ‘bunk room’, which the three kids share. It has three double bunks and one loft, sleeping seven. Each of the bunks has its own small window and reading light.

This is a book nook carved out of an eave on the second floor of a hallway. It is closed off with a pair of drapery panels and feathures bookcases, reading lights and a custom built window seat for long afternoons of reading.

Face-lift and addition to a 70's A-Frame beach house in Goolwa Beach, South Australia.
Living areas were taken to second floor and large deck added to gain views of beach and create indoor-outdoor seamless entertainment. The living/kitchen area has lofty high ceilings and an open plan and the original exposed steel structure and floor framing featured to give informal beach house vibe.
The upper level (loft) became a retreat/look-out thanks to addition of skylights and a crows nest balcony. A spiral staircase connects the living and loft, and the loft was cut back as a mezzanine so that it overlooks and connects with the living space below.

We designed their pre-teen’s room to include what he loves now, and give him room to the end of his teenage years. We incorporated his favorite colors, crown molding with RGB lighting that turns many different colors and allows him to dance to the beat of his own drum and the music he loves! He enjoys reading and a recliner was a must for supporting hours of enthrallment in a good book.

Nautical themed kids room that will never want to make them leave! Simple and minimalistic room that has muted blues and ocean themed art pieces to incorporate the ocean in the room.
