Stancato Townhouse

The townhouse we were given to stage by the developer was a newly built colonial style residence with some modern touches. We decided to incorporate mid-century modern touches with contemporary and traditional furnishings to encompass the life style of what we imagined would be a young family buying it's first home. We wanted young, but comfortable. Even slightly edgy. The rug is a custom designed all wool kilim in squares and rectangles of black, white and grey, echoing the molded glass legs of the Infiniti coffee table. Beside the table we placed a very comfortable pair of chartreuse leather, mid-century modern chairs to give a pop of color against the black and white. Contrasting to the modern pieces, we placed a primitive wood chest from China as a lamp table and for extra storage for games, throws, etc. I love the contrast of the rough, primitive surface of the chest against the glass and chrome.
