We build our ponds to work with mother nature, not against her. By doing so, we have less pond maintenance, allowing us to enjoy the benefits of the pond instead of having to work on the pond. By constructing your water feature to perform as an ecosystem, nature is at the heart of the water cycle, not man. As a result, the root systems of pond plants filter the water, natural bacteria breaks down organic matter and pond fish eat the algae. No chemicals or other devices, just nature, doing what nature does best.

This was a neat job in it's scope. There was a nice Victorian style home sitting on lots of land but no landscape or usable space to speak of. We created separate spaces, including a vanishing edge natural feeling pool and built in spa. A cascading water feature linking an outdoor fireplace and built in grill. We also did a low maintenance driveway using an exposed aggregate, gray stained concrete with grass strip. The client supplied a greenhouse which we created a stone based and outdoor garden area for. It was all very natural and flowing. This garden was featured on HGTV's Ground Breaker Series. Mark Schisler, Legacy Landscapes, Inc.

Take a virtual tour through Jeff Duggins & Rachel A Duggins (Owners H2O Designs & Outdoor Living "By Design") backyard near Lexington, KY. There are 2 large ponds, multiple streams, waterfalls, and fountains, not to mention the fire pit and pool. It's truly a Backyard Oasis!

A suburban home in mid-town Fort Collins gained a lot of curb appeal with colorful perennials and a small water feature. These perennials are low maintenance and drought tolerant and with a small amount of turf, this landscape is very water conservation friendly. The large quantity of perennials used in this landscape creates a big impact in a small space.

This was a big new home on a small lot in Marietta, GA. There was a sewer easement in the back yard, which forced us to install the pool along the side of the back yard. This freed the back yard up for terracing and a custom water feature. The owner loved the Pacific NW, so we designed in as many conifers and big boulders as we felt comfortable growing here in GA.
I loved all the movement and flowing bed lines. I also liked how accessible the upper yard and pool were to the deck and porch.
