Legacy Landscape Design, LLCThis was a complete front and back transformation. We took the dirt from the back yard and used it to level the front yard and made both more useable. The main feature was a large gunite swimming pool, with built in diving board. We also built in the client's trampoline as well and left room for their play set and play house. It was a kids paradise! The kool deck was nice and cool in the summer and allowed for barefoot basketball games. We designed and installed a large Cedar screened in porch with fireplace and grill. Quarry MillThis beautiful outdoor pool and waterfall uses the Quarry Mill's Denali natural thin stone veneer. Denali natural stone veneer is a high density sandstone cut into rough rectangles forming the castle rock style. The stone gets its abundance of color from the heavy mineral staining. The mineral staining occurred naturally in the quarry over time as water washed minerals between the individual layers of stone. The colors include blue, light grey, tan and brown. Denali also has a very rugged and unique texture with a mix of dimpled, smooth and wavy pieces. This stone is sold as individual pieces intended to be installed by a professional masonry contractor. CBI Design Professionals, Inc.This pool room is part of a second phase addition to this already wonderful home. The original house had been carefully designed to take advantage of its rural setting including views of a water area, nature preserve, and woods. In order to maintain these views while providing a large indoor room for the pool, the project required a unique and difficult concept to be executed. We decided to place the pool room at the basement level where no views would be disturbed. In order to accomplish this, the pool itself was excavated below existing foundation walls requiring substantial shoring and engineering work. The roof of the pool room is a combination of cast-in-place concrete vaults and concrete plank, forming a patio surface and lawn area above. A unique skylight in this lawn area floods the below-grade room with wonderful day lighting. The end result actually enhances the views from the home by providing an elevated stone patio overlooking the ponds and nature preserve. The pool room also enjoys this view as well. We believe the final result of the project shows a very well integrated design which overcame substantial engineering challenges to form a highly functional and well designed solution.
