A spa-inspired master bathroom that boasts refreshing neutrals, glamorous metallics, and a subtle wall mural. We gave the walk-in shower a herringbone tiled niche and relaxing shower bench for aesthetic and comfort. For the vanity, we decided to go with a simple design with open shelving and two large medicine cabinets. The metallic and textured sink gives the vanity a powerful statement, adding a bit of trend and a burst of personality. Project designed by Courtney Thomas Design in La Cañada. To achieve this transformation, major plumbing fixtures were relocated as needed. New plumbing wall ensures that the hot and cold water lines for the new vanities and soaking tub will not freeze and the custom mirror niches add architectural distinction to the space. Almost 200 miters were meticulously executed on the limestone tiles at all outside corners of niches and door openings, as well as the curved tub platform for a seamless appearance.

Our goal here was to offer our clients a full spa-like experience. From the unique aesthetic to the luxury finishes, this master bathroom now has a completely new look and function! For a true spa experience, we installed a shower steam, rain head shower fixture, and whirlpool tub. The bathtub platform actually extends into the shower, working as a bench for the clients to relax on while steaming! Convenient corner shelves optimize shower storage whereas a custom walnut shelf above the bath offers the perfect place to store dry towels. We continued the look of rich, organic walnut with a second wall-mounted shelf above the toilet and a large, semi-customized vanity, where the louvered doors accentuate the natural beauty of this material. The white brick accent wall, herringbone patterned flooring, and black hardware were introduced for texture and a trendy, timeless look that our clients will love for years to come. The white limestone tile and architectural rail clad the walls of this small bathroom, all the while showing off this beautiful 3" Lagos Azul Slab set on polished nickel legs. The washstand houses a beautiful hand hammered polished nickel bowl.

Accentuating the high ceiling and ensuring the privacy requested by our clients, a dramatic circle window now crowns the new focal wall. Deep soaking tub = hours of relaxation. The custom all drawer vanities organize storage efficiently and make it easily accessible. Elegant wall sconces, recessed ceiling fixtures and lighted makeup mirror make getting ready for the day or a night out a pleasure. Our delightful clients initially hired us to update their three teenagers bedrooms. Since then, we have updated their formal dining room, the powder room and we are continuing to update the other areas of their home. For each of the bedrooms, we curated the design to suit their individual personalities, yet carried consistent elements in each space to keep a cohesive feel throughout. We have taken this home from dark brown tones to light and bright.
