Bedwardine Road is our epic renovation and extension of a vast Victorian villa in Crystal Palace, south-east London.
Traditional architectural details such as flat brick arches and a denticulated brickwork entablature on the rear elevation counterbalance a kitchen that feels like a New York loft, complete with a polished concrete floor, underfloor heating and floor to ceiling Crittall windows.
Interiors details include as a hidden “jib” door that provides access to a dressing room and theatre lights in the master bathroom.

A colorful makeover for a little girl’s bathroom. The goal was to make bathtime more fun and enjoyable, so we opted for striking teal accents on the vanity and built-in. Balanced out by soft whites, grays, and woods, the space is bright and cheery yet still feels clean, spacious, and calming. Unique cabinets wrap around the room to maximize storage and save space for the tub and shower.
Cabinet color is Hemlock by Benjamin Moore.
Designed by Joy Street Design serving Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, and the whole of the East Bay.

Dark cherry compliments this modern bathroom design. A tall linen closet exists next to the large walk-in shower and opposite a double vanity and adds extra storage space for this master bath.

The airiness of this curbless shower and the streamlined rectangular sink and Duravit toilet make this compact bathroom feel much larger than its 4.5' x 7' footprint. Stunning Icelandic blue glass tile in the shower draws the eye and complements the Montauk blue slate floor. Photography by Eric Roth

After being vacant for years, this property needed extensive repairs and system updates to accommodate the young family who would be making it their home. The existing mid-century modern architecture drove the design, and finding ways to open up the floorplan towards the sweeping views of the boulevard was a priority. Custom white oak cabinetry was created for several spaces, and new architectural details were added throughout the interior. Now brought back to its former glory, this home is a fun, modern, sun-lit place to be. To see the "before" images, visit our website. Interior Design by Tyler Karu. Architecture by Kevin Browne. This lovely vanity and large mirror both frame and reflect the views. Quartz flooring provides color and texture below rich wood cabinets.
