When they briefed us on this two-storey 85 m2 extension to their beautifully-proportioned Regency villa, our clients envisioned a clean, modern take on its traditional, heritage framework with an open, light-filled lounge/dining/kitchen plan topped by a new master bedroom.
Simply opening the front door of the Edwardian-style façade unveils a dramatic surprise: a traditional hallway freshened up by a little lick of paint leading to a sumptuous lounge and dining area enveloped in crisp white walls and floor-to-ceiling glazing that spans the rear and side façades and looks out to the sumptuous garden, its century-old weeping willow and oh-so-pretty Virginia Creepers. The result is an eclectic mix of old and new. All in all a vibrant home full of the owners personalities. Come on in!

The client wanted a stylish and colourful dining room with harmony flowing through to the adjoining kitchen and hallway areas. We recruited the painters and recommended a fresh new colour palette of green and a classic white for the original plasterwork, mouldings, and medallions. We assisted the client with lighting recommendations, layout, artwork placement, and paint colours.
Materials used:
Sherwin Williams paint, dark stained oak floor, original artwork, Walnut wood dining table, blue and yellow fabric dining chairs, Contemporary black iron dining table suspension light.

A bright sunny space is treated with cheerful colors. The homeowner's treasured family heirlooms are proudly displayed, including a large antique carved wood regulator clock, a traditional drop leaf library table, and a collection of well-loved silver and aluminum serving platters. This lovely room will be the site of many happy family gatherings where cherished memories will be created for years to come!
