Der Ausgleich des Höhenunterschiedes der Schattenfläche des Vorgartens zum eigentlichen Garten des Hauses wurde durch gegossene Betonteile in moderner Optik vorgenommen. Rankhilfen für Efeu und andere Kletterpflanzen führen den Blick zum Beet mit großblättrigen Funkien, Efeu, Formgehölzen und Kirschloorbeer.

YardDocFor this garden project, we created a simple yet elegant pathway using three distinct but complementary earthen colors and textures. The pebbles and flat stones match the home’s multicolored brickwork walls. We added contrast with black soil and river rock. We planted small compact plants around this pathway which won’t create too much shade or hinder the view. The gently curving design leading to another part of the property arouses the viewer’s curiosity.

Garten Bitters - Gärtner von EdenBei diesem Projekt im skandinavischen Stil sollte der Urlaub in den Garten gebracht werden. Dazu war es den Bauherr*innen wichtig eine passende Anbindung vom Pool zum Haus zu finden. Ebenso wurde darauf geachtet, dass man vom Hausinneren Blickachsen auf die Poolanlage bekommt. In diesem Folienpool wurden verschiedene Technikelemente verbaut. Die Rolladenabdeckung trägt durch einen Solareffekt zur Erwärmung des Wassers bei.
Dadurch sind 2 Grad Temperaturanstieg pro Tag möglich. Eine weitere Besonderheit ist der verbaute Skimmer. Dieser ermöglicht einen Wasserstand von bis zu 7cm unter dem Plattenrand, normal sind hier 10-12cm. Der höhere Wasserstand sorgt für einen schöneren Effekt. Die Wassertemperatur kann ab 15 Grad Außentemperatur mithilfe von einer Luft-Wärmepumpe erwärmt werden.

UserA scheme comprising a shared garden for residents of newly converted flats in Ealing, West London. Alexandra's scope also included design of the front drive, an inner courtyard and small roof terrace.
A bespoke concrete seating area was cast in-situ and incorporates a generous planter filled with grasses interspersed with Taxus baccata domes. The client’s love of olives led to beds of young trees underplanted with Mediterranean species such as Lavandula and Santolina sited both sides of the lawn.
Another stipulation of the client’s brief was that the garden should include an outdoor lap pool. Alexandra’s design incorporates turquoise mosaic tiles internally along with a bullnose Yorkstone coping. A summer flowering Cornus florida f. rubra was selected to provide beautiful colour alongside the pool in the summertime months. A row of tall Betula amongst herbaceous planting sit on the rear boundary of the garden to screen the train line behind.
