Woody’s Premium Cabinetry
The glamorous, main wine cellar featured cork floors and holds almost 3 times the previous one - approximately 1500 bottles. Exquisite custom cabinetry was finished with beeswax to eliminate the emission of VOCs that could potentially alter the composition of the wines.
Architectural Plastics, Inc.
This compact wine wall cellar had an interesting design idea. The client enjoyed the look of cork so much that he clad the entire room in sheets of it. Our clear acrylic wine racks were spec'd so he could see the cork through them.
Clear acrylic has the unique ability to "pull in" color and light from its surroundings. This results in our acrylic wine racks either disappearing from, or becoming part of, the environment they are in.
Irons Brothers Construction Inc
During construction, our client notified us of a water leak in their wine cellar (they thought had been caused by our work). After investigation, it was found to be ground-water intrusion. This space was a crawl-space – the prior builder had moved dirt to create it, without addressing the water level or drainage. The home’s post and beam construction, along with non-treated lumber was found buried in the un-removed dirt (this eventually could lead to a major failure). To remedy the dirt was excavated, a new concrete footing installed, and sump pump system and water sensors were installed to address future drainage. The expansive wine collection was saved, and no bottles were harmed during construction.

Wine Cellar Specialists installed the brushed aluminum pegs on Alumasteel backer boards. They used frosted glass for the ceiling to complement the glass on the stairway.
For the wine cellar cooling system, they installed WM8600 split cooling system in between the studs on the left wall.

This photo depicts the 2-bottle deep Ultra pegs with rubber O-rings. The rubber O-rings prevent the bottles from slipping out.
These pegs were attached to alumasteel backer panels.
