The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow. Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The operable windows above are arranged in a sweeping arc and angled outward, imitating the design of a 18th century sailing ship. Though this room is below grade, the LED light panels behind the windows and above the grates in the ceiling provide the impression of tropical daylight

Vintage Cellars, Wine cellar design and build firm out of San Diego, California, worked with this celebrity client closely to create a gorgeous wine storage design to add depth and point of interest to this at home bar. This hybrid style wine cellar / wine room / custom wine cellar / custom wine room utilizes multiple styles of wine racks / wine racking to keep a modern and contemporary, yet refined and traditional feel in this home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California. On the back wall upper section, simple triple deep metal wine racks are used to showcase wine bottles horizontally, so that high providence wine labels can be displayed and celebrated. Clean black metal wine racking looks great against the white walls behind. In the center row of the back wall, a high reveal display is featured, again for more ability and capacity to show off those prized vintages and bottles. Dark stained Alder wood was chosen as the material for the wine racks / wine racking / wine rack. This hallway cellar is tucked away on the charming island of Nantucket. Architectural Plastics designed and built acrylic wine racks with steel rods to support the wine bottles.

Now this is the perfect place for watching some football or a little blacklight ping pong. We added wide plank pine floors and deep dirty blue walls to create the frame. The black velvet pit sofa, custom made table, pops of gold, leather, fur and reclaimed wood give this space the masculine but sexy feel we were trying to accomplish.

For those of us who enjoy a little time out, this wine cellar is perfectly designed to be a wine bar. Designed to enjoy with friends, this cellar houses 700 bottles of wine, has two cigar humidifiers, and a gorgeous table which allows for you to sit, relax and enjoy the scenery (in this case is the beautiful Brisbane River). Hand made to suit the tight space, the black woodgrain cabinetry, angled shelving for ease of access and display, matt black racking, eloquent lighting, all highlighted by the New York Stone benchtop. Batten timber ceilings, timber flooring and clever artwork transcend this space into a new level.

Large wine room for a private home in Wirral, UK. The room is filled with a combination of individual bottle racking, display racks, storage cubes, work surfaces and slide out shelves for case racks, all of which are made from solid oak. The wine cellar in total can store over 900 bottles.

Chamber Furniture created the entire Wine Room space including the glazed walnut doors to ensure the wine collection is not only stored at the optimum temperature but presented beautifully. The clear-lacquered walnut complements the bronze wine racks and the angled shelves display the magnums and champagne for maximum impact.
