It weighs in at a massive 110kg’s and is nearly one and a half metres tall and wide - so think carefully about where to put – you may not want to move it twice!
The reclaimed wagon wheel that has been used for the back support can be seen in all its glory in the back view pictured. This photo also demonstrates the way the whole thing is angled back slightly for added comfort.
The mixture of worked reclaimed teak and teak reclaimed from teak in its natural state lends the bench a paradoxical feel unique to this piece.
The smoothed teak feature board in the middle of the front cross support is just begging to be engraved or have a plaque added to further personalise the bench.
Two people can sit comfortably on this reclaimed teak bench and the centre of the wheel bearing is used to good effect as a divider and armrest in the middle of the two shaped seating sections.
The curved, natural teak arms add a different dimension along with the other supporting sections in the same style.
When you consider the work and craftsmanship that has gone to make this impressive bench it’s a bargain at just under £350 – especially when you consider that you’re helping to reduce deforestation in Indonesia as well.

Precise slots in each petal-shaped fold are custom slits to fit a rotisserie skewer to optimize the Folia’s functionality and purpose beyond bonfires and campfires. Elevating this striking structure is a base foundation and a plate to securely contain the fire within this wood-burning fire pit and to prevent fire-ground contact.

Bianchi DesignKirk Bianchi created the design for this residential resort next to a desert preserve. The overhang of the homes patio suggested a pool with a sweeping curve shape. Kirk positioned a raised vanishing edge pool to work with the ascending terrain and to also capture the reflections of the scenery behind. The fire pit and bbq areas are situated to capture the best views of the superstition mountains, framed by the architectural pergola that creates a window to the vista beyond. A raised glass tile spa, capturing the colors of the desert context, serves as a jewel and centerpiece for the outdoor living space.
Designscapes Colorado Inc.Illuminating the columns and large trees that line the driveway give a dramatic effect to visitors approaching the home. The lighting also washes the space with light to add depth and direct the eye to different textures and shapes in the garden.
Nordland Landscapeshis formal garden was designed to resemble the lines of a cello.
The large lawn is edged in a reclaimed yellow stock brick and laid on edge in a sweeping curve and surrounded by traditional planting and large trees.
To split the garden into two, we used trellis to screen the children’s play area at the rear of the garden from the rest of the outdoor space. The trellis gives a degree of privacy but also allows the children to be visible whilst playing in the rear play area. The play frame was designed and built by Nordland Landscapes based on a wish list from the client’s children.
The brief was to include overhead monkey bars, high enough to be challenging but not high enough to be dangerous, a slide, trapeze bars set far enough apart so as to be able to do tumble turns on and cater for the varying heights of the three children. The client also requested a den or play house to hang out in and play in all-year-round.
Accent LandscapesUtilizing native grass adds great impact to a landscape at a low cost. Native grasses are very water friendly, and require less maintenance than traditional turf.
