“We worked with Josh to design and project manage an extension to our 1930s house in Dublin 7. It included demolishing our old kitchen and lean-to sheds, and building a new kitchen/dining room with a downstairs bathroom / utility room. Beforehand we visited several clients in the local area who had positive experiences with House Architects. The pricing structure was very clear. Josh was a pleasure to work with, and unflappable, which is always very reassuring. Once we had designs we were happy with, he worked to put the project out to tender and managed the relationship and the payments to the builder. This was the most valuable aspect for us. Particularly towards the end of the project, there were probably issues where we would have let the builder cut corners, but it was great to have Josh there to hold the line and ensure the project was completed to specification. We've been living with our extension for 18 months now and we're delighted with it - it's transformed the way we use the house and the garden.”

“Dreyer Architecture worked with us to design and and build a light-filled extension that was sympathetic to our period house, a protected structure from the 1830s. The project involved new kitchen and dining areas, as well as utility room, pantry and bathroom. Almost two years on, I can confidently say it's a great success, changing how we live day to day and use the garden. Kim was always thoughtful, creative and responsive to our needs and ideas, with a reassuring empathy to the existing building in terms of proportions, detailing and materials. And it works wonderfully.”

“We wanted to make more space in our house and make the space we had more liveable in. Although our house was quite traditional we wanted to modernise it too. We also wanted help with designing the outdoor space. David was really creative and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. He had great practical advice in relation to the kitchen and dealt effectively with any build or installation issues that arose. We had not used an architect before but found David's input to be invaluable. “I have used S J Carroll Architects on a few occasions. Initially to conduct detailed surveys and pre-sale advice on on my late fathers house prior to selling and a second property we were buying for my sister. I have always found Simon, very sensitive to your needs and a great listener about ideas and plans with some great suggestions on design. I have been so happy with the all services, I have retained S J Carroll Architects to design and project manage a full renovation of an apartment I own in Nice, France. The designs have been amazing and Simon has managed every step of the way to locate and manage French builders. Completion date will be late summer. I plan to post photos when done. In the meantime, posting photos of the drawings of my late fathers house, Simon assisted us in surveying, providing pre-sale advice and overall drawings.”
