“Susanne Doise has worked for us as a designer and project manager, introducing contemporary ideas and good space solutions always with her touch of European flavor . We enlarged and modified the interior and exterior of the second floor of a 50 year old house into an open space concept mostly in the dining, sitting and kitchen area as well as the Master Bedroom quarters. Overall good work, within budget and complete understanding of our needs and lifestyle.”

“I enjoyed working with Michael on this project which was a major renovation of my 1980s era kitchen and dining area (see Havelock photos). Michael worked patiently with me to determine what I wanted and encouraged me to think outside the existing 'box' that was my old kitchen. He was very professional and honest in providing advice and design options. He made me feel that I was part of the design process and my ideas and needs were of the upmost importance in the end result. He had a number of unique ideas that really added to the renovation (for example small display shelves inserted on the kitchen and dining room side of a half wall, uniquely designed coat rack and bench for my front entrance, etc). The contractor that he recommended was first class and extremely professional. The reaction of friends and family who have seen the renovation has been overwhelmingly positive and the most frequent comment is "Wow". Overall, I am very satisfied with the entire process from design to completion and would highly recommend Michael as a dedicated professional who takes pride in his work to produce an outstanding result.”

“We contacted Barbara after buying our home on Bowen Island in March, 2014. We saw the house, fell in love with it, and then flew back to Toronto where my husband and I were both still working. We knew what parts of the house we wanted changed and we wanted it done before we moved in August. Working with Barbara long distance was an incredible experience. All we had to go on was the memory of our 40 minute tour and the realtor's MLS video of the house. Barbara totally redesigned and rebuilt the master bedroom, ensuite bathroom, powder room, laundry room, and his and her closets. She also managed the replacement of the floors and lighting in the existing house, and found creative and practical solutions to a number of technical issues that emerged during the renovation. In short, she became our contractor, designer, and friend over the 6 months it took to complete this project. Barbara's experience and relationships with local trades people made this rebuild happen flawlessly and beautifully. It was a creative process for us and a wonderful introduction to the Island. We would unhesitatingly recommend Barbara as a gifted designer who will watch over every detail of your project and work tirelessly to make the end result everything you want.”
