Steve has guided us along the way starting with grading the build site, navigating uncertainties (soil composition and other issues that have come up), to where we are now - working on the actual plans. Steve has listened to our ideas from the beginning and has communicated clearly along the way to be sure we both understand the vision for our home. “Jessica Larsen is an amazing design professional. She brought a wealth of knowledge, experience and creativity to our house design. Before we started the project, we gave her a few photos of what we were looking for and she designed a beautiful structure that fits the site perfectly. The home is well situated to take advantage of the views and natural light, while also taking into account window placement for privacy from neighbors. The floor plan is efficient and flows very well, with comfortably sized room and with minimal hallway/wasted space. Throughout the design process, Jessica was very responsive to our questions and needs, and she was prompt with making revisions and changes. She has a cheerful attitude that makes it fun to work with her. I would highly recommend Jessica Larsen to my friends and family.”

“The company I work for recently hired ACM Design to redesign a small office space into a room for client meetings. Our goal was to mimic the atmosphere of a residential space from within the walls of an office building. From the very beginning of the design process, Amy was very responsive and helped greatly in navigating our needs into what was realistic for the space. With less than 200 square feet of space to work with, we had quite the challenge, but ACM Design's creative use of space and furnishings helped our project to become a beautiful setting where clients feel at home, rather than feeling like they are in a bland and sterile office. In the end, our project finished on time and on budget and we owe many thanks to the team at ACM Design for their guidance, support and expertise. We highly recommend Amy and the ACM Design team for any residential or commercial project.”

“Alice Dodson designed a house for us located on mountain property in Buncombe County, NC, in 2016. We love the house plan she designed for us and recommend her without reservation! She met every deadline she set for herself, often completing ahead of her self-imposed deadlines. She is very creative and extremely meticulous in her designs. She exceeded our expectations based on work we have seen by other architects in this area. She collaborates skillfully and willingly with other building professionals in the process. She has many years of experience and you can see this in her work product. Her fees are fair and she is very easy to discuss fees, deadlines and design decisions with. She is very knowledgeable about all parts of the building process that are not necessarily a part of her architectural design. She is very cost-conscious on behalf of her client--frequently advising us of ways to save money that we had not considered.”

“The project was a bathroom remodel disaster that SDM Designs took over and made into a place of beauty, as well as safety and security. In short, Mr. DerMargosian was a lifesaver. He took over the languishing and ill-conceived project, redesigned it in a way that not only made practical sense but was beautiful; hired wonderful, skilled professionals who got the job done within the time specified and within budget, and held my hand through the whole project. He was there to ensure quality every step of the way. He attended to the infrastructure damage and problems with as much concern as the aesthetic issues. This was a relatively small project in the scheme of things, but he gave it his exquisite attention and was always professional, always kind and helpful, always available for contact. He's a magician with designing spaces of exceptional flow and originality, with an uncanny ability to elevate his clients' ideas to spaces of surpassing beauty. I would recommend him to everyone - a dream to work with, sensitive, caring, professional, intensely creative, with years of experience both designing and compiling a team of professional workmen to execute his designs.
