Dan and I successfully collaborated on a multi unit project in Remuera. Dan has been, and continues to be one of the few architects in Auckland and New Zealand who approaches each work with originality and vitality as his key architectural goals. This sets him apart from many of his peers as he is prepared to innovate and break new ground both in design, material selection and detailing. Dan is one of a handfull of international quality domestic architects in New Zealand.

Daniel and his talent team helped us design and build our new home here in Auckland, Daniel is a true artist and his creativity and professionalism transferred our vision into a architecturally beautiful home. It has been challenging during the construction phrase due to the complexity of insitu concrete works, however, Daniel and his team can always provide a necessary support to our builders onsite and dealt with all challenges promptly. The results speak itself. We will highly recommend DMA to someone who is interested to build their own architectural homes.

Daniel Marshall and his team are what I would consider avant-garde. DMC took our 1960’s Ugly Duckling and transformed it into a piece of highly functioning modern art. Daniel and his very talented team, were easy to work with, with both the design and process exceeding our expectations. Daniel’s designs are highly recognizable and deserving of his multiple awards. We would recommend DMC without hesitation to anybody considering an architectural project of this nature.

Daniel is a talented architect.. We selected him over others because I'd seen how creatively he overcomes design challenges with difficult sites. We're really pleased with the house design and we've certainly got a lot of house on a site that only allows 35% coverage. People can't believe it when I tell them this. He's also a good listener and takes on client feedback. If he doesn't agree, he's respectful in explaining why he doesn't think something will work. Daniel's great to work with and has a great team supporting him too.

Daniel Marshall Architects designed the renovation/new build of our home. Right from the initial meeting Daniel made us feel confident with his ideas and professionalism. Daniel stayed involved in the process right through to the completion of our home which also stayed within budget. We were very happy with the end result and wouldnt hesitate to call on Daniel Marshall Architects in the future.

Daniel is a visionary. Each of his buildings has it's own unique identity. He positioned our property perfectly on the existing piece of land and kept to our brief that the house appear to meld into its surroundings and yet be on a grand scale. One of our key requests was for a large garage to accommodate our cars, but we didn't want a face a large bank of garage doors as we drove into our home. Our architect designed the doors around a courtyard, cleverly disguising them so that they are seemingly part of a wall. He also listened to our requests and accommodated them where he could within the restrictions of our land and height to boundary. He was able to convince us that where the ceilings were not as high on the top floor as we originally wanted them to be, this would not be a problem as he had created a "floating" roof. He also helped us with the interior decoration of the home, providing suggestions on colours of walls and flooring. He worked with me on an idea I had for a double height bookshelf, which has become a focal point in the lounge. He even "created" a wonderful wax paneled wall in the dining room that is a unique work of art. There were some miscommunications, mainly centered around the kitchen and the wardrobes that I had very specific ideas about. If I were to start all over again, I would probably consider using a kitchen designer to work with me on my requirements. At the end of the day, however, I am happy with the end result, just not quite the trauma of getting there. The result is a home that fulfills all our needs and more, and is a pleasure to live in and I would highly recommend this firm and it's architects to anyone.
