“How fortunate we were to have Ignacio Salas-Humara as our architect! He worked closely with us and our builder throughout the process to insure that the integrity of his conceptual design was realized. Ignacio chose low maintenance contemporary building materials and techniques to give us a unique design that took full advantage of the views afforded by the site. He is very accommodating to our likes and needs regarding interior design issues of which he is also very adept. Ignacio worked tirelessly to locate alternative acceptable products and solutions to help keep us within our budget. His positive, friendly, and accommodating personal demeanor has made the project fun and exciting for us. He has made our dream house come true. " The Goat Sheds" home project pays homage to a way of life that supported our family for generations.”

“Eric Mustard designed a renovation and addition to my home. I had seen many examples of his excellent work and I knew he was the architect I wanted for my project. He worked tirelessly and patiently with me to gain understanding of my wants and needs. He was able to meet all those wants and needs and went beyond with his expertise and creativity to bring about a design that was more than I could have dreamed. My addition is both beautiful and practical. It enhances the original architecture of my 1942 home. I love living in this home and am so grateful that I was able to have Eric Mustard as my architect. I get so many compliments on this home and I give him the credit.”

“I would highly recommend Neel. After interviewing a handful of Austin architects, yy husband and I hired Neel (out of WImberley, TX) to help us draw plans for a small bunkhouse (~1500 sq. ft) on some property we own in the Texas hill country. We wanted to use an ICF product for the house and Neel is very well versed in drawing plans using ICF (Insulated concrete forms). The product produces a home that is not only incredibly energy efficient, the walls are over 12" thick and give a fortress like feel within a small space. The house has blown us away. Neel took a small footprint and created a truly unique space that flows so well it feels twice as big as the plans indicate. The ceilings soar close to 20 feet and he has truly gone the extra mile to help source some beautiful timbers for us to use for the ceiling, beams and porches. His involvement throughout the whole project has helped us stay on schedule and budget. It is evident that he takes great pride in his work and sees our bunkhouse as a work of art (which it is). We are so pleased and will post pictures of the entire project soon.”

“We were able to reconnect with Stephen thirty years after his beautiful original design of our home. At that time he was an apprentice to famed architect Dick Clark. What we needed...a seamless addition integrating with and preserving the integrity of our home. It has been incredibly gratifying working with Stephen and seeing how he has developed throughout his professional career. His creativity has flourished. His attention to every detail is astounding. Stephen is that unique combination of artist, craftsman, designer and psychologist. His was able to turn our dreams, both verbalized and not, first into drawings and ultimately into a beautiful addition to our home. What we ended up with was much more than an addition to our home, but what has truly become the hub of our family's daily lives. Kudos to Stephen for being a joy to work with and for creating a space that exceeded all our dreams.”

“Ryan Schmidt assisted me with two National Register of Historic Places nominations: The Light House in San Antonio, Texas and the amendment to the nomination of the Goliad Courthouse Square in Goliad, Texas. It was imperative that the nominations have professional architectural input. Ryan's knowledge and experience were invaluable to the success of both projects. His helpful attitude, and his ability to meet the deadlines required were exceptional. .His maps for both projects were detailed and correct. His plans and descriptions for The Light House were very professional, and the nomination was approved by the Department of the Interior in 2011.The Goliad project is being completed (2014) by the Texas Historical Commission.”

“Our builder brought KM Designs in to do the building design for our new custom home. Our lot was a bit of a challenge with a slope across a cul-de-sac triangle. We also had quite a few unique floor plan requirements due to some health challenges for two of our family members. We worked with Kim directly after our builder surveyed our wishes and needs. She visited the lot to further understand the layout and the kind of house we wanted. When we came to her office to start the design, she smiled and said "I have something". She unrolled the first design and we were "floored". We sat back to take it all in as we could see from the design that she had listened VERY WELL and put a lot of thought into laying out a floor plan that met our needs and fit the challenges of the lot. As we looked over each part, there were very few changes to get us to our optimal plan. Kim took time to understand our needs and offered suggestions and changes. She was genuinely "fun" to work with and made the process a pleasure. As we went to contract, there were more questions and a few changes but Kim was there to support us. She delivered a very nicely designed home and made the process easy.”
