“I had a very positive and pleasant experience working with 1st Source Solution and the creative building team. I wanted a larger and more updated living room, and they made it possible. Mr. Harrah took my budget and laid out the plan. His group showed up on time and worked efficiently while performing with the utmost professionalism. Mr. Harrah was well informed by his team, on sight to keep me aware of our situations, and provided solutions that allowed us to stay within budget. He was conscientious about communication between his team and with me. At our initial meeting we discussed this project's time frame, and I was very clear it could take 30-60 days to complete. The job was completed in 53 days, we stayed within budget, and I was happily satisfied with the quality of work. I hope in the future Mr. Harrah and his team will agree to return to assist me with more renovations. I highly recommend 1st Source Solution! Thank you.”

“Michael Kersting architecture is marvelous on all counts. There are designer / architects, but Michael is a true artist able to work in any style, bring it to the twenty first centurry and impress a special flair. It is interesting when all the workers on a job say if they could they would have him design something for them as the designs have something very special. He is easy to work with, listens to you, helps guide you to a plan that fits you and yet pushes you to expansive visions. The staff are all very complimentary in skills and talent. They kept us out of potential trouble many times. As one who has been involved in many building projects I would say anyone considering anyone else in WIlmington as their archidect needs to reconsider and look more closely at Kersting architecure, the best in Wilmington and possibley the state. Unigue and truly creative designs with impressive followup and I rarely give recommendations.”

“Simply put, Chuck is the best. He is one of most brilliant minds in architecture and is truly one of the most kind and thoughtful people we know. His first question to us was, "how do you want your house to feel?" And from that moment on he led us through a series of discussions that he used to create a design for our home and land that was more than we could have ever dreamed or imagined. We wanted it to feel like an old, well-loved farmhouse, a place of welcome refuge - where there was space for everyone but not cavernous - and we were starting with an empty field as the canvas. His attention to detail was so impressive - every single aspect of his design was drawn with great purpose. Everyone who comes to our home always comments on how it "feels" and we attribute that to Chuck's incredibly skilled design. It was a joy and a privilege to have the opportunity to work with him.”

“We hired Mr. Herring to design a 5,000+ square foot home on the ICW. That project took place in 2000-2001. Mr. Herring had a unique capacity to "read our minds" as we moved along during the design stage such that the home became everything we wished for in our dreams. He was a fantastic on-the- spot architectural supervisor, holding the crew to the mission while gaining their respect along the way. The final product was fantastic. We were so pleased that we have had Mr. Herring design two additional homes for us since then. Thomas H van Arsdale”

“Ian Johnston has done an excellent job of designing and serving as the on -going architect for a project at our beach community. This project is now in its 4th and final year, covering 8 condominium buildings. His architecture drawings were thorough and were the basis for contractor bidding; He remained involved to inspect the stages of completion in each building. He participated in a process where he met with the facility manager and the general contractor project manager weekly. This enabled the establishment of a punch list each week of items to be resolved and ensure that a high level of quality was maintained throughout the project.”
