“I have worked with Jeff McMahon on many design/build projects. He is attuned to working with the topography and the sun when siting his houses. He consults closely with his clients when planning their modernist houses, and finds sustainable solutions for them. He listens to their needs and does as much as possible on paper and computer before breaking ground. When construction starts, Jeff and his crew are focused and efficient. “If you are looking for an architect, look no further than Chad at SOON Architecture. We did not know what to expect and were a little intimidated by the whole process at first. We had never worked with an architect before and were not sure how this would go. Well, our first meeting with Chad, we knew we were in good hands and he was the right person for the job. He explained everything to us, with as much or as little detail as we needed. He was also so patient with all of my questions (and I had a lot of them). He always had a smile and was very flexible with our needs. He met with the contractors on-site to walk them through the project and was always available by phone to answer their questions as well to get the right materials and specifications for their quote. “Mr.. Pedranti has been the architectural consultant on a basement renovation which included drawings to increase closet space and window seat design and on kitchen renovation. His suggestions have been focused on energy saving, and material selection. His knowledge of energy efficient design is amazing. I wish he could design a new house for me , but renovartions will have to suffice for the time being.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Barbara this past September when my husband and I finally made the move and downsized. The new house was significantly smaller than what we were used to and I was concerned about size and design. As soon as Barbara walked into my house, she was ready to work and create. We discussed my vision and then she did the rest. On her very first visit, we shopped for furniture. She knew exactly what she was looking for and we searched several stores before finding the perfect couch and chairs for my small living room. I told her I wanted to create a sitting area in my kitchen and she found me the perfect love seat. So by our first meeting we had the foundation and then she began to work her magic. Every time she came to my house, her car was chockfull of accessories --pictures, lamps, vases, tables -- you name it, she hauled it. Of course I had the option of refusing anything, but everything she brought was spot on. I'll never know how she managed to find pictures that had the exact same bird on it as the kitchen love seat! She has an amazing eye for detail! And her paint color selections?!? Admittedly, a little scary at first, but on the walls, they are awesome. In summary, I was looking for someone to make my new house a showcase of a home and Barbara delivered in a timely and cost-conscious way. You need to trust an expert and she certainly knows her stuff! I recommend her to everyone looking to work with a decorator who is knowledgeable, professional and unpretentious. Thank you Barbara, for making us love our new home!”
