“I contracted Millwerx to renovate my basement in fall of 2011, and the main floor of my home in spring of 2013. Millwerx exceeded my expectations in every way. Millwerx removed and installed new hardwood throughout, replaced ceramic in bath and laundry room, built a custom fireplace surround that turned out incredible, sanded and stained our staircase, updated my kitchen with lighting and custom design work, and replaced all trim and casings along with painting the home etc... The work was done with incredible attention to detail, and care. “Service provided - design, build and installation of custom kitchen cabinetry and countertops. Our home was built in 1976 and the kitchen cabinetry was original (dark cabinets, poor design and flow). The project design was constrained by three large bulk heads (which could not be removed or reduced), uneven plaster walls and ceiling, and the overall footprint of the space (two sections - 8ft x 10ft and 11ft by 8ft - divided by a bulk head). Joshua Veldman of JV Woodworking listened to our "desires", studied the structural constraints, and then designed, built and installed beautiful custom cabinetry that met all of our needs and surpassed our expectations. Joshua even made the unsightly bulk heads "disappear"...absolute magic! The footprint of the space was also unified using repetition and improved flow within the design. The JV Woodworking team was punctual, professional, and very accommodating..."problems" were only perceived as "challenges". In the end, the price we paid for our new custom cabinetry was the same as the original price quoted (no budget creep!). “Steve is an excellent craftsman! His attention to detail is phenomenal. I purchased an older house in need of TLC. Steve took out my radiators, pulled down ceilings, insulated and put up new ones, dry-walled, tiled my fireplace, refurbished my downstairs bathroom and converted a bedroom to a bathroom while maintaining the style of the house and matching the woodwork , added a walk-in closet to my bedroom using the old bathroom . Steve put baffles in the attic to improve the air flow and exterior vents. He build a composite front porch and a composite deck in the back, re-cemented the brick work where water had washed the mortar away over the years. Steve repaired my garage, put in a man door and sided the garage. He rehung some of my kitchen cabinet doors that were tight. The list goes on! He was creative with ideas for moldings. The house is cosy and pretty! He even paints like a pro! Even my cleaning lady recommends him to her clients!”

“It is without hesitation that I can recommend "Cut Above Millwork" for all your finish or cabinetry needs. Luke is such a talented finish carpenter. He's meticulous and precise; his drive for perfection is reflected in his work. He is also very neat and all work areas were spotless when he was done working. His prices are reasonable and fair and he makes certain that he absolutely understands what the customer is asking for before he begins so there are no misunderstandings. If he needs to make a change for whatever reason, he is sure to consult with the homeowner first. We needed our double, bay style French doors and 2 floor to ceiling windows framed. Luke did a beautiful job with that project and we couldn't be happier with the result. He also made us baseboard mouldings that tied in perfectly with some existing mouldings that we can no longer get and they are also exactly what we wanted. Lastly, we had a very large butternut beam that we wanted installed in "floating" fashion as a mantle above our brick fireplace. Luke made sure that the heavy beam was safely and securely attached to the brick and it looks fabulous! It's unique and we have received many compliments on it. I can confidently say that you will likely be very pleased with Luke and his work.”

The folks at Maple Walnut are providing a “word class” skill set and experience to the Buffalo NY region, top notch from conception to finish. We worked together on multiple components in a clean “contemporary” home where the details make the vision come to life. The kitchen was custom designed to incorporate unique storage solutions: mostly to eliminate unsightly countertop appliances- and areas were designed to make cleaning and a crisp look easy to maintain. The countertops were built with 1/2 and 1/3 waterfalls to match the unique hickory floors. In the teakwood bathroom, it was critical that the various elements were all executed in the same marine grade wood and they executed brilliantly. They use very helpful visualization tools to work with you thru the design development so it’s very clear to what the results will be, and it’s a very informative and fun process!!!
