We met Darrel when interviewing builders for our job. He was friendly and knowledgeable and honestly answered questions and concerns. We contracted for a bath renovation first and were so happy with the results we then contracted for a kitchen renovation, addition of a beautiful Sun Room, remodeling of the whole downstairs, residing and repainting of the exterior, new flooring in whole downstairs, and a laundry room. Every project was completed to our total satisfaction and we intend to have the rest of the house remodeled by them. The quality of the work impressed us. They always did the work the right way and explained to us the reasons for doing things one way rather than another. This is a great company & we had an excellent experience.”

“We called multiple companies when we decided we wanted to add stairs off of our existing deck that came off of the main floor above our exposed basement, and wanted a ground level deck added as well. I almost held my breath waiting for the quote the next day because the ideas Dave, the owner, had blew me away. I was sure it would be cost prohibitive. It amazed me at how affordable it actually was. The process was a joy, they are such professionals who take great pride in their work. We actually had Them come back and do a fence and a timber staircase for us a year later. This past summer we had our main level deck covered with the coolest roof made from reclaimed horse fencing. I first met Hugh (owner of StoneAge Stonescapes) when he came out to understand what I was looking for in an outdoor living area to include fireplace, patio and custom kitchen. While I spent months designing what I thought would be the perfect arrangement, Hugh listened to my ideas but offered his own suggestions to further improve the design. Throughout the design and negotiation phase Hugh was open, honest and very thorough. Once I made the decision to move forward w my project I have to be honest, it was a great experience. It’s not easy having a crew of men working in your backyard for 6+ weeks but everyone was friendly, extremely professional and cleaned up every single day. Now, on to the actual work itself. The level of detail and workmanship provided by Hugh’s crew was a “10 out of 10”. I watched how each stone was chiseled to perfection resulting in an incredible finished product. David Balzer, does have a little deck building OCD, but that's OK. His oversight and attention to detail were quite apparent. David visited the site every work day. There were no unexpected delays.
