“Great Home Builder! Planishek Properties from the beginning listened to our needs through design, installation and was very transparent on what was to come. Planishek Properties team sent updates, invited our input on everything and didn't hesitate to make suggestions that helped us make decisions. We highly recommend their team to build your next home around Lake Norman or anywhere else. If we decide to do this again, we will definitely be reaching out to them for our next custom build.”

“We have been very pleased with the addition/ kitchen remodel Distinctive Design/Build/Remodel completed for us. We outgrew our previous kitchen space and I had been frustrated with many aspects of the kitchen design. Vince and Erin listened to the challenges we had in our old space and came up with a design that has worked out as we had hoped for our new space. I love my kitchen again and we really enjoy our additional sunroom and mudroom space. The flow and ample storage areas work out well for our large family. All of the team, including subcontractors, were polite and safety conscious which was important with 4 children from 4 to 12 around the home. We were kept up to date regarding progress and all concerns were addressed in a timely manner. The remodel took a little bit longer than expected, and we were a little naive about the energy it took to move items within our house and live with upheaval for a time, however the results were well worth it!!!”

“We worked with Advanced Renovations on a complicated kitchen remodel, that demanded the talents and skill set that can only be found in a company as professional as Advanced Renovations. Duane Johns and Roger Ketchum of Advanced Renovations made this complicated project a breeze for the homeowners and the subcontractors alike. This is no easy task, and signifies the level of professionalism that is not easily found. Their knowledge of their profession is remarkable. I would not only enjoy working with them in the future, but I would hire them myself. Being in the business I get to see it all, but never have I seen a company that goes to the level that Advanced Renovations will. That go the distance and then some. Bravo Advanced Renovations!”

TOPSIDER HOMES
Sustainable Design Services in Cornelius, NC

“Topsider Homes earned our confidence in all aspects of its offerings: innovative design; soundness and efficacy of engineering; strength of the structure; quality of components; and, accessibility of service during construction. The construction blueprints, manuals and videos are clear and precise in every detail, which assures that builders, building inspectors and owners are provided all the information for project installation and inspections of the Topsider-provided prefabricated components and to assure effective tie-in of any necessary builder-provided components (such as decks, patios, entranceways and site preparation). Construction of any kind is always full of challenges as a consequence of the variability in the qualities of the builder and his subs. We spent months working with Topsider to locate a builder experienced in installing a Topsider or similar prefabricated home…but found that this was not necessary as the construction information provided by Topsider makes it possible for any competent builder and subs to properly erect the structure. Topsider people were always available and responsive to provide answers and solutions to construction questions and issues. Our contract was entered into in April 2016. The County Building Inspector issued his Certificate of Occupancy in March 2017. Since that time there have been no quality issues with Topsider materials or design. As regards design and engineering we are particularly pleased with the strength of the structure in dealing with frequent high winds and gusts at our mountain site…a consequence of all load bearing components being focused on the center steel beam which allows interior room design flexibility and utilization of ductless HVAC systems. We are particularly pleased that we included the optional Cupola. The R-39 hard insulation components make the home energy efficient and add strength and integrity of the overall structure. The space inside the pedestal accommodates and secures electric and water utilities. In our relatively cold climate it has been necessary to install electric heating “tapes” to water lines and drains extending from the pedestal, which is the responsibility of the builder, but which really should be noted in the blueprints and builder instructions. We are pleased with our Topsider home and recommend the company to others.”

“I am a Real Estate Broker and my wife and I also buy and rehab homes for resale and to keep in our rental portfolio. Cody and his crew have done several jobs for me personally and for clients of mine. They are great at what they do and I have always achieved nothing but the best and most professional results in each of our projects. Each project was on time, but more importantly on budget. When dealing with the tight budget flips and rentals require, we can not afford surprises. I do not hesitate to refer Cody to anyone looking for a quality job.”

“Craig Miller and the Kinterra Group are top-notch. I've had the privilege of seeing many of their projects first-hand, and the quality is evident. I've also talked to their customers, who have raved about how much they love their homes and how much they've loved working with Kinterra. This builder should be on everyone's list when considering a home improvement project or a new build. His integrity and quality workmanship is evident.”

“Marc and the team at QCDB recently completed a renovation of our kitchen and dining room, and we could not be any happier. The process was as close to seamless as it gets thanks to the professionalism of the crew during the job, as well as all of their preparation that went into it. The design process was extremely easy and took little time. Marc came and took very detailed pictures and measurements, then through our conversations and meetings he put our wants and requests with the existing layout of the house to create a design plan. From the very start it was exactly what we had in mind and required minimal tweaking - mainly to improve the appearance and flow of the room. We then worked to pick out all fixtures and accessories - something we were apprehensive about doing through a contractor instead of what we thought were cheaper vendors. The prices we were presented with were in most times better than what we had found doing our own research, and we knew we were getting top-quality sinks, faucets, lights, etc. Needless to say we were impressed. When it came time to start the actual demo/ construction, QCDB waited to begin until everything was ready to go (i.e. cabinets, grout, and plumbing were ready to install, gas company was ready to come). I cannot put into words how helpful this was. Our project called for our existing kitchen to be ripped out and replaced, so the thought of being without a kitchen for an extended period of time had me terrified. This way, we had full access to everything we needed until the last minute. From the moment they started until the project was completed, we always felt as if the crew was being as efficient as possible. Not having a kitchen is frustrating, but never once did I feel there was dragging of feet or things were taking too long. As soon as the kitchen was usable again, we were given the go-ahead to use it, just so we wouldn't have to keep washing dishes in the bathroom. The crew didn't seem to mind us getting ahead of ourselves occasionally, they just worked around us. By the time everything was done, we didn't even need a real punch list. There was only one, maybe two, small things we had noticed that the crew hadn't already pointed out and made arrangements to fix. We could not possibly be happier with the finished project. Our kitchen has become the most used room in our house, as opposed to a place we hated to be. We have a functional dining room that opens into the kitchen, instead of a (useless) formal living room. During the project we also had a few other ideas appear and the team at QCDB made them happen without batting an eye (removing a window facing a sun porch and adding french doors; removing Formica bathroom counter tops and installing granite and separate sinks). The crew was amazing - friendly, honest, helpful, reliable - everything you would want when you have people in your house for several weeks straight! It goes without saying we will be using QCDB if we have any additional house projects.”
