He's a builder's builder: Very talented and creative, has a lot of excellent ideas. He's not your standard contractor that just "reads the plans" - he's met multiple times with our architect to go over the details and to offer some really great suggestions. Very impressed with the level of collaboration! 2. He's very conscious of your budget: I've had a lot of ideas for the house. Like most people, we have a budget for this build. Greg has kept me in line whenever I come up with another of my "brilliant" (as in, costly) ideas. What I truly appreciate is that each and every time, he's offered some really great alternative so that I get the look I was going for without breaking the bank. 3. He does quality work: I've seen homes he's completed and they're fantastic. 4. He's a good guy: Even his subcontractors rave about him. We stop by the lot on a regular basis to take pictures of the progress. Most of the time, the subcontractors are there working. Without fail, when we talk to them we hear about how nice a guy Greg is and how much they like working for him. Might be a big part of why his homes turn out so well. Happy employees do great work. 5. He's easy to get in touch with and is very responsive. Not the kind of contractor that disappears on you! Highly, highly recommend.”

“Buffington Homes built our water front home in RiverTowne on the Wando in 2010 and 2011. It was a 10 month project and they did everything they said they were going to do. They gave us a line item budget and allowance and the only 'overages' were what we added or upgraded. The project was scheduled properly, the subs showed up and did their part and cleaned up each day. There was no smoking in the house, which I really appreaciated. Dan stayed on top of the project and if some part was not up to his high standards, he had the subs do it over. We have nothing by high praises for Buffington Homes. Our house is well built with great attention to detail. Dan's knowledge about everything from geo thermal to hurricane windows to lighting rods gave us a comfort level at the beginning of the project that proved to be well placed. Dan never got stressed, he has built so many custom homes and there are always issues that come up. He gathered the facts, discussed the options with us, and moved on with a solution. “We have engaged Dolphin to design and build our dream home on Kiawah Island, SC. We are currently half way through construction. So far we are very pleased with the services provided by Dolphin. We worked with Noel over a prolonged design period (our choosing) - she had great patience and constructive input on design for our unusual plot. Dolphin drove the ARB approval process which was ultimately quite painless (we had expected this to be much more difficult). Prior to breaking ground, we started work with Catherine Anne on the endless decisions (everything from kitchen appliances and faucets to hardware and tiling). Catherine Anne made the whole process easy and and kept us on track. Once construction started, the Dolphin team kept us updatd regularly (important as we live in the North East and have only been on site 3-4 times during construction.
