“Jeff Sellentin, the owner and architect, worked with us from the initial stages of developing what we wanted to do and how much we wanted to spend to coming up with a final plan that took both into account, and finally, construction. The goal was to add living space, an extra bedroom/office and revamp our entry. Prior to the addition (left side of the outdoor photo), our house looked like it stopped abruptly. With the addition it looks much better and we love the front porch. Our was a relatively small addition of 500sf that enabled us to create a completely open space on the main floor of our late 70s tri-level home (entry, dining, kitchen and living area). We wanted to work with someone who was flexible enough to allow us to do some of the work ourselves in order to cut down on the cost and Jeff was very accommodating. We hired Jeff to go from design through finished drywall and have been working on the rest ourselves (please note that the kitchen, which is not pictured, is still unfinished but that's on our to do list, not Jeff's!). We're very pleased with the results and have had lots of compliments from friends and family about how comfortable it feels. Like most construction projects, it took longer than expected, and cost a little more than expected, but it is well built and we expect to enjoy our new space for many years to come.”

“Mark Rostad (Bear Creek Special Projects) has done various projects in the past for us so when it came time to design and create a large covered deck, he was our logical choice. Mark's ability turned our requests into an exciting addition to our home. His experience with the use of exposed and engineered beams provided a functional yet dramatic new space. Mark was mindful of the budget and kept us informed all during the building process. He has a good working relationship with other building trades such as electricians, plumbers, roofers etc. who were all involved in this project. Each step of construction came with certain challenges, for example a low pitched roof, new wiring with an electrical panel, engineered beams and custom windows and 10 ft. sliding doors. Mark handled each issue with confidence. We are very pleased with his work and our guests often comment enthusiastically about the result.”

The construction started in mid-March, and completed by end of October 2019, two months ahead of the original schedule.
