“After interviewing several general contractors to do an extensive remodel of our 1950s ranch home designed by architect Sophie Piesse, we selected Larry and Susan from New Dimension Construction. The project began in Nov 2015 and was completed in the Spring of 2016. We tore out walls to make open spaces, completely redid the kitchen and bathroom, upgraded the electrical, plumbing, and insulation, added a new roof, windows, and walls, etc. Throughout the project, we knew what work would be completed each week, what decisions we needed to make, and where we were with the schedule. Susan and Larry were great at communicating regarding different choices and the cost for each. There were no price surprises on this job. The worksite was kept clean and neat which was important as we lived in part of the home during most of the renovation (except for when the HVAC and flooring was installed) using a temporary kitchen. The crew was a pleasure to have around. Larry was extremely knowledgable and brought great subcontractors to the job. As always during construction, we ran into some unexpected issues> Each time New Dimension Construction efficiently and expeditiously helped us find a good solution and move forward. We think the quality of the work is exceptional. There is nothing we would change about the project.”

“We searched for the right builder for three years before we found the Radford Building Co. We interviewed several builders, and considered many options. After our first meeting, we knew we had found our builder. Jason and Kenny made us immediately feel comfortable and confident. They sought to understand not just our building requirements, but also our personalities, our intentions, and our ultimate vision for the build. The team has been upfront and personable throughout the entire process, from site selection and design to making selections, and the actual build. One of the most exciting points of the process was when the foundation went in. The care and precision that went into our foundation assured us that this was going to be a solid build, and this feeling remained throughout the entire process. The team invited our questions and concerns and took our opinions to heart. We felt heard, valued, and cared for. Since we moved in, the Radford Building Co. has continued to partner with us to make sure we are satisfied with our new home and has taken care of any outstanding tasks. We have already been recommending them to friends who are thinking about building. We would partner with the Radford Buiding Co. again, but now that we have such a beautiful and well build home, I don’t think we will ever move!”

“Claudio Hortoneda, owner of B & S Home Improvement in Durham, NC is a gem! We have had him do two major jobs for us so far - the first involved drywalling over all of our ceilings after the "popcorn" texture had been scraped off, and the second involved a major remodel of our kitchen and two bathrooms, including moving walls, installing windows and a large quantity of tiling. Claudio has excellent subcontractors for the elements of the project that he does not do (e.g. the plumbing) but maintains a level of responsibility and care for the house that encompasses the entire project. He is very easy to communicate with, very reliable, and does excellent quality work. In addition to all of this, his prices are very competitive! I have already recommended him to three friends, two of whom have had him do work on their homes, and they were delighted with the results as well as the entire process. Strongly recommended!”

“We had Tom and his business finish a unfinished basement for our kids to have a place to hang out. My husband and I can not say enough great things about the men who worked at our house. “About this time last year I decided to have an room added to the back of my garage and make it my wood working shop. I called JAM and they came out to look at the sketches I had describing what I wanted to addition to look like. One of the most important requirements was the the addition was to look like it was not just stuck on the back of the garage but was in integral part of the home. It blends in with the existing sunroom in scale and roof profile. As you can see in the photo attached that was accomplished. I could not be happier with my new workshop. A few months later I noticed a couple of my sunroom's support posts were showing some rot. This addition was built by another contractor about 17 years ago. Called JAM and when they came to give me an estimate we found that almost all the post showed verifying degrees of rot and that was because the contractor didn't lumber that was treated for ground contact. JAM came up with a plan to replace the rotten wood, put the post on concrete piers and not spoil the look of the foundation. Excellent job! JAM brings the whole package to what ever job they do. First they listen to what you want, then if they see other things that could improve the project they will suggest those things but never is there any pressure. The knowledge, professionalism and skills are excellent. Also, something that is very important to us is neatness and caring for the job site. JAM gets a big A+ on that. They straighten up the work at the end of the day and leave no trash in the yard. They respect your home.”
