“Muzzy Builders, Inc (Doug and Gina Muzzy) completed exceeded our expectations in building our new home. They were straight forward, honest, caring, passionate about their jobs, knowledgeable, and had great relationships with us (the consumer) and all of their sub-contractors. They seemed to treat our project as if they were building a home for themselves, and helped us contain costs, even though I could have spent a fortune! But, they listened to what OUR priorities were and helped make sure we were able to get those things (for example - fireplace on screened in porch, great crown molding, distressed/rugged mantles, clawfoot tub in master bath) There are very very little downtime at the house, so they had the ability to keep the work flowing and anticipated well when things should be ordered and sub contractors lined up. They were practical and creative all at the same time. Doug had the contractor piece and Gina was the creative end with a background in interior design. We utilized Houzz a lot in the process to help me pick and choose design elements I loved and even things I did not love, so I could show Doug and Gina Muzzy. This really helped them to understand my taste and avoid some "oops, that is not what we were thinking, at all". If I were building a house again tomorrow, I would insist on Doug and Gina Muzzy with Muzzy Builders, Inc again. There were no arguments or battles at all. I have heard other people building custom homes having huge arguments with their builders. On the financial end of the spectrum, the bank was completely comfortable with us using Muzzy Builders and making the "draw" payments went smoothly with Muzzy's as well. I can't say enough great things about these people. They don't build a ton of homes each year, but rather focus on building great homes each year. We made a great decision when we hired Muzzy Builders, Inc.”

“Aarow Building is the best contractor I've ever used. They are doing a remodel of two bathrooms, replacing back stairs with an upstairs half bath, remodeling and combining two bedrooms into a one-room master suite that includes a walk-in closet, remodeling and combining a kitchen, dining room and living room into a great room area, replacing the front door, adding a mantel and installing a "garage-door-opener-driven" dumbwaiter. The crew all work directly for Aarow and most of them are college-educated. They are flexible and professional and they have been especially sensitive to the needs of my elderly mother who has dementia. They treat her with respect and took great pains to make her bathroom more accessible. Jake Bruton, Aarow's owner (who succeeded his father after 30 years in the business) comes every morning and we go over what got done the day before and consult about what will happen that day. He has a great attitude and we truly make decisions together. He meets me at stores when I am struggling with choices. Jake has guided the entire project, from design to completion (which happens next week). He has an art degree, which gives him a more nuanced understanding of design. Jake takes pride in the quality of the work and has redone many small things just to make sure we're completely satisfied (releveled a sink and tp holder, switched out a vanity, moved outlets, switched out a mirror, etc.). My only small complaint is that the project has taken longer than projected and is ending a bit close to Christmas. It's not all their fault because of unanticipated termite damage and mold. In the middle of the project, Jake had to terminate someone who was chronically late and I supported him in that, even though we lost some time. He is currently making an all-out push to make up lost time and get done, even pulling in his father to help. I would highly recommend this contractor. The overall experience has been very positive.”
