“Completely renovated our log cabin. They came in and demo'd it. Removing the drop down ceiling, making the whole log cabin 1 big gathering room (the lodge) with cathedral ceiling. They moved the stairs leading to unfinished basement (now finished), replaced all the windows in the log cabin, new ash flooring, new kitchen cupboards,added kitchen island, and countertops, notched out logs to fit new appliances. Also finished basement with new bedroom, laundry room, family room, bathroom and my favorite, "a craft room" from what used to be a "cluttered hall". Also added slider walk out door to patio area and outside shower. I have pictures from beginning to now, but don't have them on my work computer, can supply from my "patti.lou.who@hotmail.com" account upon request.”

“This was our first time building a house and we were a bit apprehensive of how stressful and difficult the process would be. Nate and his team were fantastic! We were included as much as we wanted to be, adjustments and design changes were welcome, the entire project was well organized, and any issues or concerns that we had were addressed quickly. Everyone that we worked with was friendly and I've found Nate to be extremely fair in each of the situations that we worked together. We worked primiarily with Jamie and he was excellent at communicating what was going, worked quickly to resolve any problems, and was always friendly, professional and approachable. Even after closing, communication has been easy and open. We love our new home and we're very comfortable with it. If we were ever to build another house, I'd build with Nate and Jamie without a single concern. It was a great experience!”

“Alex and Blake finished our basement to a high spec for a spa and gym area as well as remedial exterior work to our guest cottage. They managed all aspects of the project with creative solutions and to exacting standards of themselves as well as their chosen sub contractors. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“We hired Gulfield Contracting to repair several rooms in our home. The house had multiple areas that needed repair to the ceiling and walls. We had a plumbing issue that required cutting holes in our living room, bathroom and bedroom. Gulfield Contracting came to our rescue!! They did an outstanding job! The quality of their work was exceptional. They were extremely careful not to get the spackling or sanding dust on our existing carpet. I wish I had taken pictures of before and after the repairs because when they finished the job you would not know that our walls were torn apart!! I would highly recommend them.”

“Ours is primarily a DIY project – a timber-framed, strawbale-wrapped house with external stud walls containing dense-packed cellulose insulation and (eventually) clapboard siding. We greatly benefited from consulting with New Frameworks Natural Design Build starting early in our design/planning process. Co-owner Jacob Deva Racussin, is very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and outstanding teacher, who met with us several times and provided very useful feedback and suggestions, as well as instructions and sources for specialized construction supplies. He visited our project site several times, and taught us (and friends) how to shape and build with the bales. We also hired a New Frameworks crew, including co-owner Ace McArleton, to apply the base coat of plaster on the interior straw-bale walls. They were wonderful - very hardworking, plus enjoyable to work with! We very much appreciate everyone’s flexibility in working with us through our long, complicated and somewhat chaotic process. We think the world of all the New Frameworks Natural Design Build people and highly recommend them!”

“This was the fourth project we have worked on with Reap Construction. In each case we were very satisfied with the work done and overall experience. In this particular project there was a lot of coordination with subcontractors. Joy kept them all on task and schedule and made sure we were happy with the results. In each instance that we have worked with Bob and Joy and their team, we have found them to be very communicative, the work to be a high quality and long lasting, the costs within budget, the project done on time, and the people very professional and pleasant to work with.”

“We met the Sisler Crew during a home energy audit. To say the least they were a breath of fresh air. Always thoughtful, eager to help, and extremely professional. “Gordon Dixon Construction did an amazing job building a home for us in Stowe, VT. The building experience was very enjoyable and remained on time and within budget. The effort put forth to keep the project moving in an organized and timely manner helped us as the homeowner keep on track with decisions and budget. Their guidance and attention to detail during the process were exceptional and truly evident in the quality and craftsmanship of the home. The carpenters were outstanding and were able to create exactly what we were looking for. “Red House was our GC for an eight month gut renovation of an 1840's farmhouse. They were fantastic to work with from the first call to their office thru the finishing touches just after we moved in. They provided ideas and consulted throughout the design process, sharing options for needed products, vendor and retail suggestions. As some items inevitably changed during construction they were understanding and willing to adjust. They ran a very neat construction site and kept the project on time. Chris Quinn oversaw the project from a business/planning perspective, David Matesi was point person on site (and a talented blacksmith!) and worked with Dave, Nate & Arna - a great team all around.”
