“Clark Johnson and Apex Mt Homes were selected by my wife and me from many contractors we knew in the area. Clark has done over 100 projects in the area and we loved the mountain look and the attention to detail as well energy saving methods Clark uses. In addition he brought us very innovative building methods, including Revit and pre-cut framing, yet still totally custom design that saved us 10's of thousands of dollars. The process was fun and creative. What we liked was a home that was grander, warmer in feel, and repeatedly receives comments from guests who say great things about the beauty, livability, great layout, and attention to mountain views. We also particularly appreciated the transparent budgeting and expense tracking system that kept our tension level very low. We moved in a month early, below budget. We would gladly build with Clark and his team again. We also found that the relationship was oriented primarily on what we wanted. The team repeatedly showed great ability at creatively getting us unique solutions and attributes that we wanted without breaking the budget.”

“We have hired Constructive Builders for a few home projects and have been consistently impressed. When they did our hardwood flooring they were able to match to our existing stain perfectly. Eric also helped us determine the best route on a basement re-model project and brought many design ideas to the table. We absolutely love the results of both projects. “Spirit Builders converted our old, outdated cabin on the Blue River into a completely updated mountain modern home our family loves. It was a 3 br 1 bath single family home whose entire interior needed a complete remodel, including all new plumbing, a new bath added upstairs, and laundry added downstairs. Jon is detailed, accountable, and creative - an impressive combination. He values quality and has a great network of suppliers in the area. Lastly, he was accurate about budget and timing. Spirit Builders was highly recommended to us and we feel lucky to have worked with them and have already and will continue to recommend them to others.”

“Kevin repaired our mailbox, which was about to fall off its post. He pulled up two steel stakes that I had driven into the ground with a sledge hammer 12 years ago, and no one else could pull up. He adjusted some doors that had been messed up when the house started sagging a little, because we had a bad builder originally, who left a support out of one end. He removed a torn screen from the screen door in front, after repairing that door so it closes and latches correctly again, and he's getting that re-screened for us. And he's working up bids for some more work. Honest, affordable and competent! The 3 things we value most in a tradesman like this!”

“Hawk construction and Jim Poggermeyer in particular, were willing to help us with a very challenging situation. The previous construction had been poorly planned and had deteriorated into an unsafe condition. Jim did thorough research to devise an excellent plan that retained our esthetics and maintained function. They then planned a very efficient, clean and thorough fabrication complete with very complete finishing. We are very happy with the result and would hire them again! Dr Gil Schmidtke”
