Mike and his team had great design ideas, they answered all my question I had, and made the entire process so enjoyable. They were fast, efficient, and came in on budget! “My husband and I are both retired and have a small business rehabbing homes. Joe worked on 1 rehab and then did repairs on another rental. The last home we did was the largest undertaking yet. Joe and his crew finished a basement which also included adding a full bath. They upgraded a porch, kitchen and painted the entire interior. Joe is patient, a good listener and offers creative solutions to problem areas. He is knowledgeable about construction, pays attention to detail and is especially talented with finished carpentry work. The home sold the first month on the market and the buyer's agent said it was one of the best remodels he had seen.”

“My wife and I had an excellent experience working with JP throughout our complete home renovation. He was able to complete our total renovation on time (4 months) and on budget. My wife is a pretty decisive person and had a lot of ideas about what finishes she wanted etc. JP would listen and either agree or would offer an alternative that was either more in line with our budget or something he found to be well liked by other homeowners he has worked with. JP was onsite and very accessible. The website he uses allowed me to track the financials on a daily basis. It also allowed us to be involved in the communication between JP and his sub-contractors so we would get real time updates about the status of a particular job. When we were evaluating contractors we were looking for 3 things: 1. Someone with Integrity 2. Someone with Good Communication Skills who is Accessible 3. Someone with Experience We hit a home run with JP. I can't say enough good things about our experience. If/when we build or renovate another home JP will be our guy!”

“Highlands Home Services leader Shelby Baird did an excellent job on our bathroom project. The cost was on par with other quotes we received. Quality of work is outstanding. Shelby was always sure to maintain a clean workspace and keep our house free of debris during our renovation. Our project involved remodeling a bathroom in our house built in 1970. There were several challenges Shelby uncovered and overcame. Our project involved taking the bathroom walls, floor, and ceiling down to the studs., Shelby reworked plumbing, rerouted and modified electric, removed a very heavy bathtub, installed floor and wall tile, installed a new toilet, shower, and vanity. He painted walls, installed shower doors, put in all new plumbing and light fixtures, and all associated wooden trim. Shelby has a very broad skillset and was able to work through any problem he encountered. Additionally, Shelby is very polite and was respectful of our home. We would highly recommend Highlands Home Services for any type of renovation work needed in your home. The quality of Shelby's work is second to none.”

“We had both a complete bathroom renovation and a basement renovation. The bathroom consisted of gutting the bathroom to the studs and rebuilding the entire room. The basement consisted of adding cabinets, a sink, and a counter/bar area. Both jobs stayed within alloted budget and their design team was wonderful. We recommend J and R Construction to anyone in the Lexington. KY area.”

“Unique Landscaping has done several jobs for me and my business, there was additions that were done to my home along with new decks, a bus stop. Also did a brand new build of a shop to park my trucks and heavy equipment in. They were prompt, reliable and courteous of what I wanted. My estimate that was given to me was accurate at the end of the projects. I shopped around with other construction company’s and Unique Landscaping came in far less than other company’s.”
