“We are stoked with the outcome of working with Travis and Blair on a major residential renovation to our 1930s home in Wellington. We engaged Wright & Gray through a process of getting a few Architects to visit and discuss our aims and constraints. We worked with them to design an extension into our backyard with a bank in it. Internally it was a pretty comprehensive reno including addition of a new high-ceiling living area, new multi-use guest room, and a new laundry. We also updated our kitchen, a bathroom, and added storage through hallway cupboards. We did some back yard landscaping and added a canopy at the back of the house which is super practical and lets plenty of light in. Travis helped us find a great building team (David Hale Building) and secure good contract terms at a very challenging time (mid COVID building rush). We are really happy with the design elements of our build, and how Travis and Blair helped us manage the delivery to be on time, on budget (apart from our add-ons) and to our satisfaction. We are glad we had Travis and Blair manage the build contract and payments, and they helped us work through a contract wrinkle with landscapers, and also were very effective at managing the city council. We love our 'new house' and are really happy with the design and delivery through the team at Wright & Gray.”

“Our unit is small, but the renovation task was huge. The final product is a well designed, well insulated comfortable unit with a brand new kitchen and bathroom. Tina’s expertise in design used the very limited space available to create a functional, stylish and modern environment. Dani’s attention to detail and coordination of numerous trades was truly impressive. The team adopted a problem solving approach to any obstacles and the work was finished within budget and time frames. Most importantly, the team and all the trades were professional, friendly and so easy to deal with. We would highly recommend them.”

“We approached Holmes Architecture because we had purchased an original 1920's house and we needed some help to create it into a family home that worked for all members of our family. Holmes Architecture helped with our working plans and gaining consent with the council and we project managed the build with consulting help from Mike. We are absolutely thrilled with the result. We have a lovely modern home that works well for every member of our family. The spaces are great. The exterior design is interesting. I really like Mike's easy going nature. He listened to what we wanted and was happy to incorporate our ideas into the project. He didn't take over. I found the experience really good. I would definitely recommend Holme's Architecture to people who need original and interesting plans designed.”
