“I am working with Honka on a chalet project in Cornwall and they have been extremely professional throughout the process. 3D visuals and 2D drawings have been produced at all stages and for all changes made so that we have been able to ensure that the building will meet our requirements. Choice of fixtures, fittings and finishes has been made clear and samples have been produced on request. The delivery and building program are on time and, as the cost is fixed, on budget. Excellent!”

“John Tolly undertook a complete renovation of our 1980's bungalow: managing all other trades. The incremental (staged) payments as work progressed was very reassuring as it made us confident the trades would return and complete the job, it also keeps the funds in our account longer!. John started the project in Feb 2014 and completed in early May. All of his chosen sub-contractors were well known to him and that installed further confidence in us. He did everything and more, very reliable and competent builder who also has the ability to manage a complete project. The whole image of the company is credible, vehicles are smart etc. Would absolutely recommend this company for projects large or small with no hesitation.”

“I hired Lucas and his team to renovate our two bedroom flat. What can I say - the most reliable, trustworthy team you could meet. It gets better .... workmanship to fitting a kitchen, fixing a complete new floor, tiling, plumbing, painting and more. Very good on keeping in touch, updating with receipts, ideas and problems if they arise. He even went back to the flat when not working and received a parcel that arrived for me (as not living there at the time) and put it in the kitchen for me to collect later. Would highly recommend.”

“Greg and his team came to my house build project when another firm let us down. He and his team are polite and friendly. He has been able to work with my project manager and architect answering questions knowledgable and was able to correct plans that had been mis-measured by the architect. Since he has been on site there has been significant progress and the work done has been to a high standard. Very pleased to have found him.”

“Having never undertaken building work before, we entered the process with some trepidation. A colleague strongly recommended HighSpec and from the outset it was clear they were the most professional of the 3 quoting companies. There was a very personal touch in Andrew’s meetings . We weren’t rushed at all and he was happy to guide us through the various complexities. The quote was clear and not littered with “provisional sums” seen in other estimates. This gave us confidence in choosing them. Ultimately the work did not increase in cost throughout the full 6 month project, apart from some additions we chose to make along the way (including underfloor bathroom heating – highly recommended!) We had extensive work done – a full loft conversion with en suite, and 2 additional bathrooms, plus new plumbing and electrics throughout. At all times, the whole team from HighSpec were friendly and respectful. We had a very open working relationship, in which we invited them to give views on our ideas, based on their experience. It was genuinely enjoyable having them in the house. They were great with our kids, and a pleasure to chat to during breaks in ours and their working schedules. We never once saw them start late, or down tools early. Hassan, Dave and Alex are clearly excellent craftsmen. We appreciated their perfectionism and attention to detail. The inbuilt storage solution made from dismantled”

“HM Construction built our contemporary, eco friendly home. The build straddled one of the wettest winters on record and the 2020 Covid 19 lock down. Despite this they delivered our home from start to finish within 12 months which was an incredible performance. One of our neighbours who is a builder himself said he had never seen such a professional, hard working team. Phil and Lee, the owners of HM are a delight to work with. They have significant experience is specifying and managing jobs and present very realistic timetables and fair budgets. They also do not inflate prices for extras but work within the spirit of the contract. They keep you well informed throughout the process. Their team, which is a mixture of direct employees and sub-contractors are all delightful. They were very fair with the snagging - and were flexible in working around our plans. I have no hesitation at all about highly recommending HM for any bespoke construction work. The whole experience from start to end was an absolute pleasure.”
