“Haus Interior Design is amazing! Remodeling is a stressful process but Kirsten Kaplan kept us sane! Not only does she have an amazing eye for design detail, but she worked extremely well with our subcontractors making sure our remodel timeline and expectations were met. We did a full kitchen renovation and Kirsten was instrumental in helping us choose everything from the hardwood floors to the cabinet hardware. Not only was she able to find us some amazing grasscloth for a fabulous focal wall, she knew the right people to call for a flawless install. The result is one amazing kitchen!”

“Design Milieu was an excellent firm to work with on the redesign of the office in our 125 year old Victorian. Karen Bengel, the owner, took a very odd layout and revamped it in a way that's beautiful and versatile. It was exceedingly easy to work with Karen since she truly took into account our needs and preferences. The end result was a beautiful space that works for our family. I would highly recommend Design Milieu to anyone looking for a designer.”

“I had a pending job opportunity in DC area and came across basement property that would be ready by the time I would need it (3 months later). I viewed property in construction phase and could not see it as a place I'd want to live, let alone be ready in three months. I was so wrong and so blown away! The tiny basement apartment looked roomy and had a zen flow post construction. Amazing design!”

“We worked with StorieCollective for a remote design of the open concept living/dining area of our Capitol Hill home. Sara was fantastic to work with and we were so pleased with the ease of the design process as well as the result. Our space had its challenges but she came up with an excellent floor plan that used the space in a smarter way than we would have come up with on our own. We were keeping a few existing pieces of furniture and the other design choices that Sara made worked well with what we already had. Sara was very easy to collaborate with and her choices for our home were spot on. I loved the ease of the clickable shopping list and the ability to reference both the space plan and design concept. I’m so happy that we worked with StorieCollective- our space is absolutely more functional, beautiful and well curated as a result.”

“B. Chic Interiors is a complete design based company. Bridget, the owner of B. Chic was very knowledgeable in design, furniture placement, paint colors, and was very budget concise. She is very easy to work with and has a delightful personality. Bridget helped me with paint colors, room design, choosing hardwood floors, window treatments, new furniture, kitchen backsplash, painting of kitchen cabinets, and new island for a large condo renovation. Within days of our meeting a complete package was e-mailed to me with cost estimates, and design pieces that she suggested. She will give you discounts from the companies she uses. You have the option of paying hourly and using her ideas, or having Bridget go with you and help with your choices. I highly recommend B. Chic interiors. Her help was invaluable, the project turned out beautiful was done on a budget and I couldn't be happier!”

She never rushes you into making a decision. She’s also careful to provide choices within the budget you’ve established. It is definitely a real pleasure working with Kaila. “Any time someone compliments a whole room in my house, a framed print, accent pieces, even the color of a wall, I say, "Thank you! Kyra/First District Designs did that!" Kyra made beautiful things happen while staying within my budget. She really listened to the overall mood, tone, and effect that I was trying to achieve and made it all happen. She incorporated/worked with so many of our existing pieces of furniture, arranging them in fresh and more interesting ways, and added just the right amount of extra touches as needed. I can't say enough good things. The woman has an amazing eye for great design, and sources pieces that are made well so that they withstand the test of both children (and pets)!”
