“I hired Danny to do some interior design in our new home. I didn't have a clear vision what I wanted done- but I knew that the space wasn't being utilized to its fullest. Danny was WONDERFUL! After meeting with him ONE time and discussing "sort of" what we wanted- he RAN with it and in a very timely manner provided us with several "options" for us to review . He was VERY professional, always easy to get in touch with (should we have any questions or wanted to dialog about our options)- and he stuck within our budget! He was very forthcoming with our invoices as things were purchased so there was no surprises! I couldn't be any happier with the end result! And I would recommend him to all my closest friends and family in a heartbeat!! GREAT WORK, awesome to work with and would 100% would use him again!! What a great experience!!”

“Laura designed the nursery for our baby boy and did a beautiful job. I'm the type of person who knows what I like and do not like, but I have no idea where to begin when it comes to coordinating pieces and putting a room together. I knew I wanted a room that he would be able to grow with and did not have an overwhelming theme, but I did not have a very clear vision. Laura helped me refine my ideas and she came up with a design that was everything I wanted and more. The physical space provided certain limitations, as it is a small room with white walls we cannot paint, a large window, and old hardwood floors. Also, we are located in Los Angeles, so this was a remote project for her. She was very thoughtful in choosing furniture that maximized the small space and still allowed us to have the traditional nursery furniture pieces. There is plenty of open room for toys, books, and floor space for playing. She chose simple pieces that balance nicely with the colorful elements of the room and incorporated items that provide a stimulating and sensory environment for my little one (a shaggy rug, colorful geometric mobile, bold striped curtains, large wall map decal, etc.) The nursery is my favorite room in our house, and it is so comforting to see the smile on my son's face when he is in his room; I have never seen a baby be so engaged with his space. Laura did not just design a room that looks nice, but is mostly for sleeping and diaper changes. She created an place where every element serves a purpose and provides a comforting and engaging environment for baby boy. She was very reliable, communicative, and easy to work with (even from a distance). I look forward to working with Laura again when we buy a house in the next few years.”

“We used Stratagem Construction and Habitar Design to remodel my entire basement. This was by far one the best experiences I have had with a construction project in my home. The finished project was exactly what was promised and even exceeded expectations in some areas. Kapan (Habitar) listened to all of our design requests and came up with an amazing plan for our entire basement. She was able to incorporate everything that we requested - including an amazing ceiling feature. Her choices for the flooring and tile worked perfectly with the style we wanted. Kapan was extremely easy to work with and very flexible. For example, she would email me options for lighting, furniture, etc. Then we had the choice of purchasing the items ourselves or having Habitar purchase for us. I liked having options that helped us stay within our budget. Mitch (Stratagem) worked with us to come up with an architectural plan that met our needs and took into special considerations we had. The best example of this was the fireplace we wanted to install in the middle of the room. Mitch talked us through all of our options while giving his professional expertise in helping us come up with the right choice (we ended up going with an alcohol based fireplace which we never would have considered without Mitch). I cannot say enough good things about Julius and Javier (the main 2 carpenters). They were extremely polite, always punctual, and very clean. I am not sure I have met 2 carpenters who worked so hard and were so personable. They also handled mid-job requests with good humor and constantly checked to make sure that even the smallest decision was exactly what we wanted. Overall the entire construction project was an A+. I would/will hire Mitch and Kapan in the future if I have any other projects.”

We have now used her for decorating two homes and she helped us assess the furniture from previous home that would work well in new home and fill in the gaps accordingly. Her network of resources is extensive from custom local furniture builders to access to unique pieces that are normally difficult to acquire. She appropriately managed our budget expectations. “In 2008 we made the decision to sell our home and move into a new-construction condo in the city. The actual move happened in 2012, so we had the pleasure of working with Eva Quateman and her team over the course of a few years. Eva did a fabulous job of helping us select which pieces from our home to update and take with us and also finding different uses for some of our favorite pieces. For instance, she suggested we use our antique secretary in the master bedroom as a TV cabinet. Because we bought new construction, Eva helped us finalize our floor plans and finishings with the developer. She suggested some changes, such as adding a wall between our kitchen and great room resulting in more kitchen cabinet space and a formal dining area vs. a counter area. Eva recognized our traditional decor preferences, and she selected fabrics, furniture and finishings that coordinated well with our antiques to create a beautiful and comfortable new home. Eva and her team were professional, friendly and attentive. It was an enjoyable experience working with the Eva Quateman team, and I would highly recommend Eva Quateman Interiors!”
