“Leyla came out for a 2 hour consultation. My intent was to get ideas and colors for a dining room and bathroom. It was totally worth it because Leyla seems to instinctively know design. In her mind's eye she saw a round table where I had been considering to switch out my rectangular dining table for a round one but I hadn't even asked her yet. She pointed to me that of all the pictures I saved for her to see what style attracted me, my current decor did not reflect it, in color or style. Seems like a no brainer and yet I didn't see that until she showed me specifics. She pointed out things like wallpaper and paint meeting without an architectural break was a no no. I never liked the way it looked but didn't know why. She honestly pointed out that my kitchen was too dark, and that I should repaint the dark ceilings. Her manner is direct, honest and cheerfully friendly. I had a long list of questions and she addressed every one satisfactorily whether it was about draperies, wall colors or furnishings. I would hire Leyla again. Sorry no pictures yet. Because I'm acting as my own general contractor and doing a lot of the work myself it is taking longer than anticipated, perhaps I can attach a photo later on.”

“We recently finished a remodel of our mid-century kitchen and we couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Tony and Dawn are amazing and their eye for design is impeccable...what I was most impressed with was how detailed they were and that they listened to our needs. We wanted a kitchen that looked great but was also functional, and they delivered! My wife and I both work, so it was important to us to know that they were there to handle all the small details and be on site to work with contractors, handymen, etc. No doubt, remodeling a kitchen is stressful but Tony and Dawn were so accommodating and made the project much easier than it would have been otherwise. The final photo shoot was bittersweet -- everything looked amazing but we were a little sad the project was over since working with Tony and Dawn was such a pleasure. I can't recommend them highly enough. Check out the photos of the Chevron marble back splash in the Yelp photo album toward the end and also on their website.”

“Very generous designer who made my tiny rental feel spacious and bright! So grateful for Jenn’s excellent list of recommendations she offered me within 24 hours after seeing my home. She helped me realize that my space doesn’t have to be or feel small by changing a few simple things such as, painting the interior, raising all the curtain rods to make my ceiling feel higher, layer cowhides on the cold tiled floor, moved my paintings around that made more sense to view, helped me find beautiful decorative pillows, dining table and chairs, and the most comfy modern chair and ottoman we all fight over to sit in and most importantly she suggested many choices to choose from to change out all the old dated light fixtures. I learned that investing in great curtains, sconces to lamp shades would be worth the investment since I can take them with me if and when I ever move. My home now feels spacious, fun and festive to visit and a whole lot bigger and brighter because I used every single one of Jenn’s innovative ideas. Loved her smart suggestions and felt she respected my small budget and made it work besides making my cozy place a place all my friends and family love to visit. “Marie Lyall is the best! Fortunately we did not lose our house in the 2017 Napa fire, however our home was severely smoke damaged. Marie came in and saved the day. She helped us to choose paint colors and replace damaged furniture. She designed a beautiful custom iron stair railing, and helped us with so many other, overwhelming to us, design related projects. She is extremely talented, easy going, friendly and was always respectful of our budget. We now have our home back, refreshed and more beautiful, thanks solely to Marie. We highly recommend Marie Lyall Interior Design!”

“Laurie Ghielmetti has not only taught me piano (in her earlier life), but has been my interior designer for many years! She has worked with me in a number of homes, and has been terrific across the board. She has a very wide knowledge of a range of designs and knows just where to get things, who provides the best guarantees and service, and then she stands by to make sure everyone comes as and when expected and and is satisfactory to me in my home and in use. She's also a wonderful person to spend time with. And, by the way, her long time sidekick Kelley Matusiak is also terrific!”

“My husband and I worked with Rachel at Seldin Design Studios to decorate our first house. It felt like a pretty overwhelming task as we were starting from scratch and had a lot to do on a tight budget within a short time frame (we were expecting our first little one just 5 months after we moved in!). Rachel made the whole process so much easier and less stressful. She started by walking through the house with us and listening to what we hoped to create in each space. She then presented us with a meticulous portfolio with descriptions, drawings, and examples of everything we needed for each room and a breakdown of the cost. My husband and I have pretty different styles and Rachel did a wonderful job of listening to what was important to each of us. She managed to find pieces that we both like at the right price points, striking a nearly impossible balance of cozy and clean. She also introduced fresh colors and patterns, encouraging us to branch out and try new things. She was fast and efficient and did an amazing job of staying within our budget (unheard of in interior design, apparently!). She was incredibly organized and proactive, always following up with vendors and giving us a heads up if there was a delay or other issue with a product we had ordered. We were very indecisive at times and she worked tirelessly and patiently with us the whole way through. Rachel is clearly passionate about her work and always went above and beyond. We are so very grateful to her for helping us create a lovely home.”

“I have worked with Vicki and trusted her judgment on many projects for my home. She is easy to work with and I have been very pleased with her work. Friends and family are so impressed with things Vicki has done for me . She seems to just have such an eye for knowing what is needed to make living space easier to live and function in. Vicki sees things and has ideas that I would never think of. And she does this with a very limited budget that I sometimes have. She is easy to work with and very up front with what she is able to do with the money I have to spend. That really reduces the stress that can can come with a project. I know when I work with Vicki on a project that she will be honest with me about scheduling, stay in budget, and see the project through. I feel fortunate to have had Vicki to call on for the projects I have done.”
