Old furniture touched up and reupholstered along with unique touches, like Moroccan window screens as valances, make the room feel personal and inviting. I would work with Jonathan again and recommend him in a heartbeat.”

“We worked with Hartley & Hill Design to completely renovate and redesign our kitchen last summer. They were fantastic and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We met with them and described the concepts that we wanted (functional and classic, keeping in mind that we like to entertain, but we have small children and a busy family life). They put together the design and sat down with us to explain their ideas very thoroughly and also run through the budget. They came up with a fantastic design that we never would have thought possible, incorporating very creative ideas, while still keeping in mind our budget as well as our personal preferences. It was a very collaborative process, with us being as involved as we wanted to be, but not feeling like we had to manage a project; they expertly managed the project for us! All of the subcontractors they hired were first class. The renovation was very well organized, there was consistent open communication, any hiccups along the way (as will happen in any project this size) were managed smoothly and effectively. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the end result. We can't wait to use them again soon to redesign our dining room/living room area. We would highly recommend them!”

“Courtney did a great job for me! She worked on my formal living room that was quite dated. I had a tight budget so she picked several fabric pattern combinations to use for reupholstering my existing furniture. She rearranged the furniture in a more usable way, making it much easier for conversation and flow. I love the colors and patterns she used - it gave my room a fresh new look! She even found some fabulous accent pieces for me at an estate sale! What a transformation! On a smaller scale, she also helped me with the last few pieces I needed for my recent kitchen renovation. She found a manufacturer who made a custom table for me that really pulled the whole room together as we'll as a side table and barstools. All under budget" I can't wait to see what she can do as we continue to go from room to room!”

“Ellen Kilroy at Ethan Allen in Danbury has been my sales person for the last 12 years. She is friendly and very knowledgeable and has helped me chose my dining room set, area rug and silhouette shades for my dining room, a couch, chairs and area rug for my living room, and most recently a sofa bed and a plantation shutter for my den. She is excellent at choosing fabrics. When she couldn't reupholster a chair at Ethan Allen, she referred me to an upholstery store that did an excellent job. I respect her and highly recommend her. I look forward to working with her for many years to come.”
