“I do not have enough amazing things to say about Kristin (owner/stylist) of Strand Interiors. After Covid hit, sitting in my badly decorated and poorly lit house for months was truly getting the best of me. I was finishing up work before maternity leave and needed a positive change to get me excited about being home for an undisclosed amount of time - I wanted to LOVE where I was and I was far from it. I found Strand Interiors on Instagram, started following immediately and loved what I saw. I reached out to Kristin to get more information and she immediately blew me away with her kindness and willingness to help. She sent me a quick questionnaire to get started and feel out the looks I was going for and boy did she hit the nail on the head! She was so personable and accessible for my questions and feedback. The fact that she worked so well with my budget AND got me the exact look I was going for was astonishing to me. I can truly say that not only do I LOVE where I live now, but I am truly proud to have guests over (and get compliments almost every time). I am not someone that can put furniture/looks together well on my own and needed the guidance and advice of a true professional - which is exactly what Kristin is. “My husband and I bought a new home in a new state. It was more sqft than we had ever thought we would own. After the purchase was complete we hired a contractor to do a kitchen remodel and we realized there was more to be done to the house than we had originally thought and though I had an idea of what I wanted I was feeling major decision fatigue. That's when I called Andrea. She was an absolute life saver. She asked for samples of what we were sure of, asked to be linked to my pinterest boards and we had a quick meeting to go over the things I was stuck on. Our next meeting she not only picked out the 4 things (the whole house paint color, a bedroom paint color, first floor flooring & backsplash) I had asked her to but she also walked me through other pieces that we hadn't thought of like lighting fixtures, hardware for the kitchen, a kitchen faucet, a sink and stain for the wood banister that would help complete the look we were going for. She supported my color choice and want for very bold kitchen cabinet colors and picked a backsplash and flooring that paired incredibly well. She talked out every concern with me and was a gentle guiding hand as we discussed where and how to carry the theme through the house. We hadn't discussed countertops too much but when it came time to pick those for my kitchen she was there for me to talk to and again gently guided me to tops that worked perfectly with the aesthetic. I do not know what I would have done without her help. And she did it all without having been inside the new house!! We hope to use her again when we can afford to a bathroom remodel! I would recommend Authentik Home to anyone looking to refresh or remodel their space.”

“We are currently working on two bathroom renovations Tami designed for us. This is the second time we get to work with her. Previously she designed custom draperies and helped us give our family room an update. Her draperies are gorgeous! Tami is very good at seeing your vision and pulling it together professionally and within budget. She provides a complete visual presentation and notebook to follow for purchasing, contacts, etc with an itemized breakdown of the budget to follow. She makes it very easy for someone like me who kind of knows what she wants but gets overwhelmed trying to make too many decisions. She delivered her designs within the time frame she gave us and her contractor referrals are very good. Tami also has great follow through with the projects. We have also found that her designer discounts from local vendors help cover her reasonable design fees so it is a win win.”

“Gail worked with us on choosing colors for the exterior of an 1887 Victorian cottage belonging to the San Gabriel Historical Association. We showed her a picture from a magazine of a color scheme we liked. In addition to choosing an appropriate color scheme, it was our hope to enhance the various architectural elements present on the front facade of the cottage, which were previously all one color. Gail made several visits to the site and various test colors were applied. She is a great listener and wanted to know about our vision. She values the client's input. She explains how colors work together and about the element of undertones. Gail knows color! Three of the four colors she suggested were an immediate hit with us, especially the accent colors--colors we would never have considered. Our greatest challenge was finding just the right off-white shade for the trim. Gail is a perfectionist, patient and persistent. At last, she found the right one--we could all see it. It has been magical to see the painting of the house unfold. We are working with four colors and Gail did the color layout, as well. Again, we had no clue how to do that, but Gail did! Gail is an artist and it is a pleasure to see the artist's eye at work. The painters keep remarking on what a great color scheme we have. People drive by and stop to photograph the house, even other painters on their way to work! They always want to know the names of the colors. It has been a pleasure to work with Gail. She is a darling--a class act! We are grateful she was sent our way!”
